We walked through the spa as we wanted to sign up for some treatments. DW is a huge proponent of acupuncture after having done 10 years ago for motion sickness. She felt like she needed a turn up and I love getting a massage on board. So we did the normal tour thing and signed up for services. I forgot how large and beautiful the spa is on the Royal Class ships.

We just did an Aqua Class cruise on the Celebrity Summit. Their Persian Gardens doesn’t hold a candle to the Enclave on the Royal. But I’m not sure it’s a fair comparison as the ships are vastly different in size and age.

Enjoying following along. We are boarding on the 26th & got an email today regarding pier 21 boarding. We were on Regal for her repo from NYC, and found wifi to be the best we’ve ever had. Granted, we did not stream any shows, but had no problems with pages loading the whole 10 days.

I agree about the layout of daily activities on their app; very clumsy. But it’s nice that you can bookmark events to make them easy to find.

Have a great cruise!

honestly didn’t really know what they looked like before so I’m not sure how much I can say about after. I can tell you I thought the beds are super comfortable.

you can check out the photos of the cabin in the post as well.

We had early seating, which was a 5:15 start time. We have a table for 2 this cruise. We don’t really mind sharing a table, so can go either way on this. After we sat we asked to speak with a head waiter, Jose, and he came over straightaway. DW was very happy with how they handled her allergies. She can order anything she wants off the menu and they will do everything they can to make it for her. She was excited she wasn’t going to eat chicken and rice like she did on Carnival. She got really excited when Jose said the chef would make her a special dessert ever night.

Tonight was obviously a little Different since they couldn’t plan ahead but they had no problems doing a salad, prime rib, And dry baked potato.

I got the butterflied shrimp, ceviche, a salad and the mussels. Everything was ok, not great. I did have a bite of DWs prime rib and it was excellent.

I don’t normally take pictures of my food at home, lol, so it takes me a day or two to get in the swing of things on the cruise. So sorry for some missing (or late) food photos!

sorry, this is an aftermath photo, but hey it basically looked the same as when it cam out!

For dessert DW got a fruit plate and I got the hazelnut soufflé.

Following along and wishing you a wonderful cruise... you are missing snow and cold weather in the GTA!

I have food allergies as well and have found Princess to go above other cruise lines to makeor alter food for me.

I have found the Regal and Sky cupcakes to taste less like cake and more like muffin. Have never found them to be light and airy like most cupcakes; rather, pretty dense.

Confession time: on my recent two weeks on the Sky, I licked the icing off one of the daily cupcakes each day, but never ate any of the cupcakes themselves, aside from the first day. 😁. Really enjoyed the orange flavoured icing.

In 30 cruises never found any of their deserts to have any taste! They look great though! Save the calories! Can always find something to eat  but the deserts for me are meh!

Bob if you get a chance can you check out the pools on board the sky to see if ANY pool has steps not just ladders or a lift! Have a wonderful cruise 🙂
