Playa Azul Snorkeling

Thanks to everyone's reviews.  We did go to Playa Azul - and enjoyed snorkeling.  In fact you can see snorkel tours pull up just on the other side of the swim ropes at Playa Azul.  If you are looking out at the ocean, you can walk left then enter the water and do a drift snorkel right up to the entrance of the Westin. (which is next door to Playa Azul).  I'd recommend water shoes or flippers.

The food and service was excellent USD on one side of the menu  - and reasonably priced too.

Our ship docked at  Punta Langosta and we read the cab fare to Playa Azul was $8 (gang waze dot com) , but we when left the terminal they said $15.  So we walked a few feet to our left and found a bunch of taxis waiting, the cab fare was $8 (and of course tip).

There was no problem getting a taxi for $8 returning to the ship and we had him drop us off a few blocks past the ship at the Mega Supermarket.  It was fun to walk around and we got some reasonably priced and yummy tequila to take home.   Great selection and much, much better prices than at the pier.  (They take USDollars)
