The Roll Call thread for your line, ship and sail date is the place for you to get to know the other Cruise Critic members sailing with you before the cruise. Your fellow Roll Call members may have important information posted in your Roll Call thread, especially ones that have sailed your line, ship or itinerary before. Also, your Roll Call thread for your cruise is the ONLY place on Cruise Critic where you and your fellow Roll Call members are allowed to post personal ads about sharing tours, excursions, transportation etc. with each other. There is a "captive audience" since you are all sailing together!   You will receive a much better response to your share request if you take some time to read the entire Roll Call thread, post an introductory post about yourself, and continue on with more posts to get to know the other members and allow them to get to know YOU first before you post your share request. That is the spirit of our Roll Calls.

Cruise Critic is a great resource for all cruisers, whether new or experienced, and we are so glad you found us!   Please feel free to browse the Cruise Critic Community Categories list. Read a few threads in the different forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads on top of the first page of threads in a forum. You will find very important instructions or information there that will be helpful. You will find your fellow Cruise Critic members have posted questions and received answers that will be of interest to you.

Browse Before You Post
Browse a topic first to see if your question has already been asked or answered by someone else. Also, many of the major cruise lines forums have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) topic that has been created by our members. Give that a try first. Browsing is your #1 best resource! Please post your messages in an appropriate topic so that you'll receive the best possible response. It is very time consuming to move misplaced messages that are in the wrong topics.

 

Anytime you need to start a new thread on a forum, first make sure you are in the correct forum for your topic. Word your new thread title in a way to help the members know exactly the information you seek. This greatly helps the members browsing through the thread titles and if they know the information they will reply to you. It is best to limit each inquiry to only one topic or concerning one cruise line, one ship, one port of call, etc. and of course, on the correct forum.   You will get more replies that way. Be sure to mention your cruise line, ship, port or sail date in your inquiry. It will help the members to have the information they need in order to help you.

Thank you for your repost. However it needs to be on the Roll Calls forum for your line, ship & sail date.

 

Here are the directions from How To: Create A New Roll Call:

 

You will need to be registered and logged in to create a new Roll Call.   Register here if you have not yet done so.

 

• Click  ROLL CALLS  
• Click your Ship's (or Cruise Line's)name to open the correct forum (Don't see your ship name, see note at the end of instructions)
• Browse the topic titles shown in the forum to double check there is no existing Roll Call topic for your sail date. 
• Click the Start New Topic button at the top of the Ship's roll call forum.
•  In the Title Box, type the name of your ship, your sail date and year. 
  • When you create a new ROLL CALL topic, you MUST include the sail date in the subject line, and here's the suggested format:    Example: January 1, 2016
  • Please note the suggested date format with the month first and spelled out completely will help your new Roll Call topic appear on the Roll Call Finder tool faster. 
• Type a message in the message box and click the Submit Topic button.

Some additional Roll Call Info:

• It can take anywhere from 24-48 hours for a new roll call to be added to the "Find your Roll Call" tool.  If after that time you still do not see your roll call in the tool, but know that there is a thread, please email help@cruisecritic.com with the Ship and Sail date to have it corrected. Sometimes the tool will "mis-file" a sail date and it would need to be manually corrected to show up.
• If you see two or more threads for the same sail date please email help@cruisecritic.com to have them merged.
• We do request 1 roll call per sailing date.  This can become a bit confusing when cruise lines sell sailings multiple ways.  In those cases we prefer that each segment have it's own roll call, instead of roll calls that span over multiple segments.
• If there is not a forum for your ship you can post your roll call thread in either the ALL Other RIVER Roll Calls or the All Other CRUISE LINES (Ocean) Roll Calls
