Dublin HoHo recommend

Has anyone one taking the ho ho buses in Dublin and can recommend a good one? Conflicting reports abound good and bad. Thanks.

We used Big Bus tour's HoHo a few months ago and it was perfectly adequate. Served its purpose of giving a quick overview of the city with some commentary. Dublin is such a walkable city that for a good portion of the route it doesn't make a ton of sense to be on a bus. It does come in handy getting out to Guinness, Kilmainham Gaol, and Phoenix Park but the rest of it was mostly better covered on foot. 

 

The biggest problem I found with it was after about 4pm the bus just got mired in horrendous traffic and just sat there. If you use it go early in the day and don't rely on it during rush hour.

We used the green DoDublin line and thought it was great. We found the drivers to be hilarious. I would definitely use them again.
