You dock right in the city centre.  Loads of stuff, Beatles, Maritime heritage, Albert Dock, 2 World class Cathedrals to tour round. loads of excellent pubs to stop off at....etc...

Visited Liverpool twice on cruises last year. I fully agree with newport dave. Plus: Tate gallery and the ferry on the Mersey.  And do not forget a raincoat and/or umbrella 😉
