Half Moon Cay - how is it?

We were last there August 2018.  It was amazing.  Not much (if anything) had changed since August 2014. Except the prices for cabanas.  They went up.  A lot ($270 to $360).

However, for a smooth day, I do recommend a cabana. Or, better yet, if traveling with a large group, a villa.

Cabana gets you a ticket on the first tender.   Snacks, great base camp, And very relaxing day. If someone in your group has sun sensitivity of any kind, then it's a no brainer.

Appreciate the input

How big are the cabana's and villa's?   How many can fit comfortably?   We are a bunch of seniors and like a little extra room.

I'm guessing you can reserve the cabana with the ship before you sail?

Cabanas and villas both sellout well in advance of sailing.  You book them from your shore excursions page for half moon cay.  Book one the day you book the cruise, if interested (full refund if you change your mind prior to sailing).

Cabanas fit 4 adults comfortably. Villas at least 8.  You can do a YouTube search for tours of them.

Do the two story villas have their own restroom?

Laura

Yes.  And the restroom has a shower in it as well, though it's a cold shower (no hot water).  The upstairs has a dining table, fridge, sink (kitchen-ish) setup and balcony.  Downstairs has a hot tub and restroom.  We find the villa well worth the cost and makes for an absolutely perfect beach day.
