Somewhat selfishly now that we live in South Florida full time, we were pleased to hear the news that SeaDream will be returning to South Florida on several voyages in Jan/Feb 2022.  Looks like there will be two round trips out of Palm Beach to the Bahamas bookended by San Juan to Palm Beach on the front end in early January 2022 and Palm Beach back to San Juan at the end of the month into early February.  Nice to see some new itineraries for the winter season.  Thanks to SD.  We look forward to seeing one of our two favorite vessels in the neighborhood!

We are happy to see it too even though we no longer live in Florida.  A number of years ago SD did a few out of Miami.  We booked on one but it was cancelled.  For a charter I think.  I hope this means more Florida departures in the future. The Bahamas have some fantastic places as long as you avoid Nassau.  Just kidding for all you Nassau fans.  😎

Good question Ragnar - sure hope not.  The port is Palm Beach not Disney’s cruise ship base up in Port Canaveral!  Since these are January voyages, one would think the kiddies are back in school, though perhaps not for some college kids.

Palm Beach and San Juan have the extra benefit of not going through customs at the airport.  Even with Global Entry, international arrivals at MIA and ORD are always a hassle.

Winter break for colleges is all over the place.  We flew home from Cancun on Sunday and there were kids going back to school this week.  Sailing out of Palm Beach there is also the likelihood of drawing passengers from the other end of the age spectrum.  I know, Jim.  That means people like us.

All good points Trapper Zimmy.  The Port of Palm Beach is actually on the Intracoastal Waterway just inside the inlet from the Atlantic Ocean.  Our condo is on the Intracoastal about 20 miles south of there.  Wonder if we can work out a zodiac or tender to pick us up? LOL
