researching own port of call excursions

Hi all...soon-to-be first time cruiser. Sail Feb 19th on Costa Meditteranea. Can anyone tell me where to research ports of call and things to do on our own. I really do not want to do the Costa planned excursions. I would rather do more remote, but safe trips on our own. I really don't know where to go to find info to help make these plans. We will be sailing the Western Carribean...stops at Key West, Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. Thanks!!:D :) :confused: :cool:

Simply go further down on the message board than you went to make this post (to the Ports of Call section). There is a wealth of information there with lots of info on the ports you listed. Happy hunting!
