Sea Dream choppy waters in Southern Caribbean

Hi all,

We're thinking of booking a January or April cruise to St Vincent and the Grenadines. Seadream 1 has a good itinerary, but until now our experience is on bigger ships. If there is a storm in the Atlantic, or larger waves, would a ship that size get affected a lot while sailing in the area?

Thanks

Not trying to sound flip but rough seas are rough seas no matter where or on what vessel.  One of the worst rides I have ever experienced was Queen Mary 2 in the Bay of Biscay.  SeaDream rides well for a small ship.  SeaDream Captains do an excellent job of minimizing motion or "hiding" from storms, especially in the Caribbean where there are so many options for finding a lee from seas.  Only you can decide if a small ship is for you.

Thanks for the answer. We were on QM2 on the Maiden transatlantic in a middle of a huge storm, and to be honest, I felt rather worse for it. Would you recommend april or january on southern caribbean route? thanks

Our experience is that they are decent little sea boats for their size. Took a transatlantic trip on a whim with Seadream a few years ago and had some moderate pushing heavier seas and it frankly wasn't that bad. A little pitch but nothing that felt out of sorts.
