On a clear day you can see Vegas. 🤗 another con about the helipad is it is at the front of the ship and you only get to the see what is ahead of you, mostly water once past the dock area. At the rear on a top deck you can constantly see the port and land area. Pulling into the port would be a better view at the front. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
luckyinpa Posted February 5, 2020 #77 Share Posted February 5, 2020 but sailing out of NYC would be fun up front. i did top haven deck over christmas and it is nice to see the left and right side so you get the skyline and the colgate clock as well
1620rock Posted February 6, 2020 #78 Share Posted February 6, 2020 We were in an ocean view cabin last week on Summit and were invited to the helipad for the the Sail Away from St. Thomas. I would say there were about 100 others and we were offered sparkling wine or juice. This was only our third sailing with Celebrity so yes "normal" folk are also sometimes invited. We enjoyed it and appreciated the invite.
