need2cruisesoon Posted February 5, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2020 (edited) I am getting my Ruby loyalty pin on my cruise on the Grand (Medallion Cruise) in April and will probably put it on my shirt lapel or possibly on my cap. Just wondering if you wear yours all the time (on and off ship) and if you display on a shirt or cap or ladies maybe a purse? Are there other ways to display Princess loyalty? i know my Medallion will reflect the Ruby color. Thanks, Need2Cruise Edited February 5, 2020 by need2cruisesoon

casofilia Posted February 5, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2020 Never have and never will. I want people to treat me for being me not because I am somewhere in the line's pecking order. 10
LoriPhil Posted February 5, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2020 Nope - I keep it at home. The only Princess gear I bring on a cruise is my insulated travel mug for coffee at the International Cafe.
Thrak Posted February 5, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2020 I don't wear mine but I have seen them worn. I've been known to wear a Thrak button on my hat from time to time though. 😋
Colo Cruiser Posted February 5, 2020 #6 Share Posted February 5, 2020 LMBO, nobody even knows what the pin means when they see it. 🙄 I would bet many more wear it then they admit to here on CC.
MJSailors Posted February 5, 2020 #7 Share Posted February 5, 2020 You may be thinking of those passengers on Royal Caribbean who have reached Pinnacle level. They seem to wear their pins all the time to indicate their “status” on a ship. Actually, our pins are in a drawer somewhere in the house. When it comes time for our executor(s) to get rid of our personal effects, I am sure those pins will be put in the trash with other stuff we have collected over the years. We have now reached the age where we try not to accumulate any more stuff.
marden1970 Posted February 5, 2020 #8 Share Posted February 5, 2020 We've done 9 Princess cruises (Platinum) and have never received a pin, not that I would wear it anyway.
voljeep Posted February 5, 2020 #9 Share Posted February 5, 2020 YES, I proudly wear my PRINCESS MEDALLION LEVEL Pin on every cruise !!! and yes, that was what RUBY was before it was changed to RUBY
Mike45LC Posted February 5, 2020 #10 Share Posted February 5, 2020 I think I threw my pin out before I even left the ship. And my Medallion remains in my pocket unless I need to swipe it or show it.
XBGuy Posted February 5, 2020 #11 Share Posted February 5, 2020 No, I don't wear the pin. For that matter, though, the only decoration I wear is my wedding ring. On our most recent cruise, I did meet a charming lady across the table at breakfast in the dining room one day who was wearing hers. She was dressed very nicely (and you can read that as she was dressed much nicer than I was), and it took me a while to figure out what that pin was. 1

Aus Traveller Posted February 5, 2020 #14 Share Posted February 5, 2020 We don't wear the loyalty pin and don't display our cruise cards. We both prefer to keep the cards in a wallet or pocket.

ken_ll Posted February 5, 2020 #17 Share Posted February 5, 2020 Next cruise entitled to receive one. Wear it, I’ll probably not pick it up. Have nothing against those who wish to wear the pin.
Rare geoherb Posted February 5, 2020 #18 Share Posted February 5, 2020 Ours are also in a drawer somewhere. I wouldn't want to be seen as flaunting my status by those who would know what level I have attained.
capriccio Posted February 5, 2020 #19 Share Posted February 5, 2020 (edited) Never and I've only seen very, very few passengers (in over 25 Princess cruises) wearing their pin. I think our pins are in a desk drawer but I'm not curious enough to check (and I'm sitting at my desk right now). Rare Hlitner Posted February 5, 2020 #21 Share Posted February 5, 2020 We have a small drawer full of pins, medallions, certificates, etc. Some are kind of rare such as our Orient Lines pin, Sitmar stuff, etc. Would we ever wear any of that stuff? No way. Tis tacky, tacky, tacky. I guess that kind of stuff is important to some but heaven knows why. Hank
