On 7-day and more cruises, however, it is free on the first formal night.
Honeybe Posted February 5, 2020 Author #7 Share Posted February 5, 2020 I found the article, it is true. Carnival no longer serving Lobster on 5 day or shorter cruises

It's still offered on 6+ night cruises. And there isn't really a "charge" for it on the 5 days or less. It just means you can order it from the Steakhouse Selections for an up charge, which you can do on any ship. That isn't the same lobster as the free one. Aplmac Posted February 6, 2020 #11 Share Posted February 6, 2020 I've heard that smaller younger lobsters are noticeably more tender than big ole grandaddies. Any truth to that? I wouldn't know, I'm allergic, dammit!

Maine lobster would be way to expensive for the masses

coevan Posted February 6, 2020 #14 Share Posted February 6, 2020 as you know, living there. they are all over the Caribbean, and probably less expensive than South Florida.

With the volume they use, my guess is they come from various areas thru a supplier. WhileI love the Caribbean, comparatively speaking, lobsters compared to Atlantic are not the reason.
