Quebec City Hotel

Any suggestions for a Quebec City hotel the night before a cruise? The first night of the cruise will be overnight so we will be staying a night at the pier on the ship. Thanks.

Price was reasonable.  Staff and hotel were great.  

 

Was close enough to walk to the port.

The Frontenac would be my choice.

I would highly recommend the Auberge Saint - Antoine Hotel. I would also make a reservation for their restaurant for dinner it is amazing an the will be booked up most nights.  The hotel is literally across the street from the dock. We easily walked from the ship to the hotel with our luggage. Rooms are nice and spacious. Also had a very nice bar.

There are a lot of lovely B&B's in Quebec City not far from the Chateau Frontenac.  You should look into one of them and take a cab to the pier.  🙂

What kind of hotel do you prefer and where are you on the budget scale ? Will you have time to enjoy the city before boarding  or is it just to sleep the night before ? Do you need to do some pre-cruise shopping ?

Thanks to everyone. We booked the Hotel Le Priori for our Sept. cruise. Good thing since there was only 1 room left.

i can second this.  even the bar/restaurant in the lobby was great.  and the breakfast buffet is totally worth it.  i got upgraded to a terrace suite last time and it was nice, even in December with snow i went out every morning for a few minutes of fresh air.

 

i can also recommend the PUR in st roch area, a short uber to port, but puts you right in a nice shopping/restaurant nightlife district.

Been staying at Chateau d' Pierre since 1980s. Lovely little hotel right near Frontenac.

We also stayed here, loved it and would highly recommend! This picture shows how close the ship was to the hotel.  I took it window in our room.
