What a difference three years make!

We made our first full transit of the Panama Canal in January 2017.  At that time, the new Atlantic Bridge was still under construction.   We just made our second full transit last month (January 2020).  The Atlantic Bridge of course was open and operating.

As you can see from the photos, our transit last month started much earlier in the morning than did our transit in 2017.  That was great, because the first time around, it was dark by the time we got to the Bridge of the Americas, and we really could not see much of anything at that point.  We loved our first transit, and we loved this second one as well, perhaps even more so.  I think having gone through the Canal once, we were more relaxed, could focus on different things, etc.  In any event, it was great!
