Awesome video.  We are on the Edge on March 15 so I am thoroughly enjoying your live blog.  I will not be jumping out of a plane when in Key West but I can live vicariously through you.
Thanks for sharing and doing this live report.

WOW WOW WOW and WOW 🤩!

You go girl!!!! Hope your parents are good sports about it! My son did the same to me!!!!!

So glad I didn’t know before .
Cant wait to read more.......

They were awesome!! I texted them and my sister “So I did a thing in Key West...” and the pic of me looking at the camera. Sis - who is working on the Disney Wonder and can only get texts, not pics (she will see it when she has full internet in port) - said “One of us cannot see the picture..” so I said “I went skydiving!” Mom responded “Oh wow!!” I said “Yes...terrifying but amazing!” And my dad said “Amazing is not even the word for it! So happy and proud for you!!” 😄

Amazing video!!

Now that I vicariously experienced skydiving, I’m good.

i don’t even like turbulence Whalen the plane is landing.

Hey jmdlv1,

Maybe you should reconsider skydiving, that way you would not have to deal with the turbulence when the plane lands. 😆

I was mistaken - last night was dinner in Cosmopolitan. It was good.

Caesar salad, no croutons.

Surf & Turf

My server brought me a chocolate banana thing for dessert. It was good but I forgot to take a picture of it!

I have noticed some confusion on labeling in the Ocean View - some things have no markings and maybe just an “ask server about allergens” while others have that and the markings for various ones (gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian, etc.); but this morning I asked about the pain au chocolat which had the markings for gf, lf, and veggie and the girl said “ No, that is just the codes in case they were on the card. It is not.” So... Lesson learned. Clarify. (Now I am not sure the falafel was - but I am not having any ill effects from it. My gf status is due to a wheat allergy and not Celiac and I have not noticed any wheezing.) Definitely something to address in my post-cruise “glows and grows” email.

I think I have found my favorite drink...

the Black Magic Martini!!

Last night was the “Grand Opening” of the Bvlgari shop and Captain Kate officiated.

And then she did greets and pictures. I showed her my skydive picture and we chatted about it for a while. In addition to the other woman onboard who did it, 2 of her bridge officers did just after me (probably after the 2 who went directly after). I had not been tired from the adrenaline crash until she asked if I was exhausted and said she had needed a nap when she came down. Haha! I am waiting for the photo area to open so I can see the pictures last night - at her suggestion we did one arms out and mouths open like we were jumping. Haha. (I do find it weird that you cannot even look at your pictures when it is “closed” as they are all digital. But oh well. These are the only ones I have taken.

I went to the theatre for Kaleidoscope

The singing and dancing was good, but I could not figure out the storyline - it looked like it was going to have one from the beginning, but that thread sort of disappeared as soon as the girl playing with the kaleidoscope to kick it off left the stage. I ended up leaving a bit early because I was tired (see above suggestion of post rush crashing) so I do not know if they went back to the kaleidoscope at all.

So far it is a beautiful day at sea!! I’m currently hanging (literally - in a floating chair) in Eden, posting and will be reading in a bit.

Our Connections party is a little later, and this afternoon I have the Behind the Scenes tour. TONIGHT is Tuscan!

I’ll post Dailies in a moment!

Curious if you could clarify - do you mean to say that the things labelled with the gluten-free icon are not necessarily gluten free? We are travelling with a friend that is Celiac and she gets very sick if she ingests food that is not gluten-free. We were under the impression that Celebrity was very good at labelling everything on a menu and in the buffet?

Thanks for any clarification you can offer...

On the Edge last week, when they had the opening at Bulgari as well .

evidently the Captain takes an active role in selling product, which I find to be unusual.

not limited to that store.

If she is Celiac honestly I would ask for totally clean stuff from the back if you even do the buffet. Many people with Celiac avoid buffets because they are very risky - and honestly I do not know if the “request a plate of clean food from the back” is an option on X (it is on Disney). Mine is just a wheat allergy that causes some wheezing so I am not as worried about cross contamination.

I will try to take pictures to show (and to possibly send with my email or show to the manager on board) but some things are clearly marked and others I have found show the codes but it’s not specified those are codes and not marking as others have the codes in similar places. Best is when in doubt, ask.

Up for this unexpected Sea Day. I’ve already heard from Maya Chan and they will be processing refunds. I’m sad to miss the beach day, but trust that with strikes and disruptions happening Captain Kate made the right call. (I will take a picture of her letter later.)

I’m debating if I keep my planned excursions now (Climb the Coba Pyramid and Cenote Swim in Cozumel and Turtle Encounter and Island Tour in Grand Cayman) or change one or both to beach and/or boat/snorkel since otherwise I have no beach time now.

Last night dinner was in Tuscan...

French Onion Soup minus croutons. I also was brought a non-crouton Caesar salad - I did not order it, but when I asked about getting the soup I said “Last night I was able to get the Caesar without croutons. Can I get the soup without croutons?” And I guess my server thought I wanted the salad too. Haha!

The beef tournado (spelling?) with the sauce on the side.

No dessert there - I got some gluten-free cake from the OVC. But I did love the table setting...

Went to Revelation at Eden last night and loved it!! (Absolutely nothing about a stick - lost or otherwise.) The singers are Goddesses Luna and Helia (moon and sun), and there is also Kronos but he does not sing. There are a male and female dancer in white who are Gaia (her), and I forget what the male’s name was - but 2 aspects of earth. There are 3 other dancers - a male who does contortions and breakdancing, a female who does ribbon stuff (like rhythm is gymnastics), and another female who does modern and contortion and she also doubles as the snake. The snake gives Gaia the apple and things are thrown into chaos but eventually the two halves are reunited and all is well. (One of the dancers explained it to a group sitting near me after the show - they are very willing to explain it if you ask.) I really enjoyed it. Some pics!

Also debating if I want to do the Art Tour. Given that I am used to Disney’s Art Of The Theme Show Tour for no charge, I am having a really hard time swallowing paying $139 ($129 if I booked the double occupancy though it does not require me to add a second) essentially for a book. The Met doesn’t even charge that much for a book. I contemplated doing the Behind the Scenes one again to maybe see Bug on the bridge - did not yesterday - and also hopefully not have 3 guys who kept asking mathematical stuff questions that made my head hurt and made me zone out, but I got it for such a good deal when it was on sale pre-cruise paying full price is hard to stomach as well.

Maybe I will just curl up and read all day. 😕

(I had more Revelation pictures but shippernet is being a pain in the butt right now.)

Seems that Captain Kate made the right decision relative to your port call at Costa Maya today...

You will note from the following that Reflection encountered some complications after arrival at Costa Maya yesterday...
