Cabin choice question

Looking at penthouse suite 11049 (under Waves dining area) or a veranda cabin on deck 8 or 10. We would love the extra space of the suite but are concerned about noise from above. Any advice?

I would book deck 10  if you are worried about the noises from the pool deck/Terrace/Waves

After being wait listed for a month,  we  booked a PH on deck 11 under Waves when it became available.  Then we read other comments on CC and moved to deck 10.  It’s very quiet there  and we were not bothered by the overhang you will get on 11.  Even though every cabin was wait listed, my TA called right as final payment was due and there were several cancellations.

Your cabin might be fine - just safer to move.

I always prefer PH on Deck 10 to 11. Have been under Waves before and the very early morning noise from chairs being dragged across the floor was horrendous.

We were in a Penthouse on Deck 11 and were awakened every morning by heavy-footed kitchen prep staff.  They were quieter after we complained, but for only 2 days.  We now avoid all deck 11  PHs.

I had not even considered that Deck 11 is right under Waves until I read this thread. We're in 11060 which is apparently under some "dead"space. Does anyone know for what this area is used:

It's a walkway entrance to Terrace on the Port side. I think there are sliding glass doors to the outside there.

We just cruised on Sirena in OS 8064 which is under the Terrace Cafe.  We did have some noise but mostly very early in the mornings for 10-15 minutes then it was quite again and that was most mornings.  Only one other time was there noise in the middle of the afternoon from Terrace so there must have been an extra setup going on.  Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our suite and the large deck and of course the butler, Antony, who has now left Sirena for a break at his home in India.  Given a choice, we would choose deck 6 or 7 for an OS but we got lucky and booked the last available OS on Deck 8.  Good cruise!!!

Hi Mary,

We are on this cruise and have booked a penthouse. The extra room is nice and the bathrooms are much better than in the Veranda.

We have made four Oceania cruises and last year upgraded to the penthouse, we cannot go back to veranda again.

You will enjoy the extra room.
