That area above the spinnaker that's being used as a games room is the old teen club.  That space was a total waste of a good area I never saw a person in it in either of the Spirit cruises we took.  That's a prime spot good to see it being taken advantage of now.

The spiral staircase that went down to the Bridge Viewing room from old Galaxy of the Stars has been removed and space closed up.

We are staying at Urban Nest Suites and Apartments for a few day prior to our September 13th cruise. Never stayed there but they have good reviews.

Love love love the padded loungers. Those are so comfortable and make the ship look a lot more upscale. It would be nice if NCL provided those in public areas on other ships, outside of The Haven and Vibe.

Yes, only in Spice H2O on Spirit. The main pool do not have them.

 

Unfortunately, the Spice H2O pool was too shallow for me to enjoy my aquatics so I went into the main pool for them.

 

NEWS FLASH: the Vibe on the Encore do NOT have padded loungers!!!!!!!! And the loungers in Spice H2O on other ships are NOT padded either.

 

So Miss Spirit is a special ship in her right!! We loved her.

Thank you so much for showing me in photos how much my favorite ship has changed!  Love the new Adult Areas.  Especially having a pool on the AFT.  One of our chief complaints on other Norwegian Ships has been the smoke from Casino, so happy to see they are acknowledging that other guests aboard are not subjected to the smoke!  Not Happy about the Megatron Screen near elevators.....this contributes in MHO to extreme noise and truly has ruined the ambiance.  

Any Advise on Balcony Cabins on Deck 10?  I noticed they do not have any mini suites on this ship which is a bummer.  Anyways I can't wait for my cruise 12/21 Singapore to Sydney!

Technically the Spirit had a pool on the aft but it was for Kids.  

 

Spirit is my favorite ship and wished it would do trips out of US again.

Hoping to get on the Spirit 23rd August out of Athens, fingers crossed.  I will be waiting to see if she sets sail across the Atlantic, heading our way!

We were on Deck 11 (11038) and it was fine; we won the upgrade bid so we got it. If I were choosy I'd pick deck 10 mid way close to the mid-ship elevators, toward the aft elevators - so you can walk toward aft and onto the Spice H2O pool area and bar 😎.

We are booked on the Spirit cruise 27th September cruise  Athens to Athens

Any thoughts on this cruise going ahead ?

We are in the UK so I don't know if cancellation terms are the same as USA .. probably will lose our deposits if we cancel .Full balance 6th June. Also our flights if we cancel are non refundable.

We have been on the Spirit for the last 4 years at Christmas/New Year .. we love it and the refurbishment looks superb ( I don't like the big screen ) IMO it will spoil the whole atmosphere of that area .. especially walking down the twin staircases .

Personally we are reluctant to do this cruise with the added problems of dining, speciality and open.

Social distancing in the theatre and bars...etc.

Added to that the flights, accommodation for 3 nights pre cruise and transfers. A nightmare of keeping safe.

We were so looking forward to the new Spirit and visiting the Greek islands .. now I'm not so sure.

I'm on the 27th September 2020 sailing. Hoping that Greece extend their welcome to cruise ships. As NCL Spirit is smaller, at 2000 capacity,maybe that might be more acceptable to Greek authorities.

Also on the 27th September 2020 sailing. Greece seem keen to open up to tourists again. It's whether that welcome will include cruise ships. NCL Spirit is smaller, at 2000 capacity, so maybe that might be more acceptable to Greek authorities. Getaway has a cruise around same time but is a bigger ship.

Can you tell me the hours the Spice H2O was open?  How late at night were there activities?  Was there smoking permitted there?  (I'm not a smoker, trying to avoid)

I’m trying to remember but I think the H2O bar is like pool bar so it closes at approx 5 or 6 (check the dailies) but one can still go into the pool. The terrace bar will still be open 2 levels (staircases) up.

 

No activities there during the Rome - Dubai Cruise.
