Taxi Day Tour Costs from Cruise Port?

I have been quoted $250 for a day tour, visiting Chacchoben ruins and Bacalar Lake.

 

I was wondering if this is the going rate / or a good price for this?

 

Or would I be able to pick up a taxi at or outside the port cheaper and get a day tour?

 

If so where do you go to get the best taxi and does anyone know how much??

Only one place to catch taxis. Just outside the cruise Port gates. 

If it were me, I'd look into The Native Choice tours to these spots. 

However, there are a number of vendors hawking taxi tours at the Port. Assuming the strike is over. And just outside the port. 

No idea of cost. Didn't ask. No idea of reputations. But taxi drivers here in general don't let asphalt gather under their tires. So safety could be a concern.
