Thanks.  No I did not ask for a response.  I did book with a TA.

Will it show up even with a TA after the 90 day payment deadline on the HAL site?  If not I will have the TA send me a statement.

Ok, if you booked with a TA, then no, none of the OBC shows up on the HAL site.

Just ask your TA for a new confirmation telling them you are looking to see if your CCL OBC has been added.

If it’s not there, rested it and ask for a confirming email.  And take that email with you printed out on your cruise in case.  My experience has been if you reface it can drop off.

Hope this makes sense.

I noticed you wrote "Carnival brand", not Carnival. Was the OBC credit possibly accepted by Princess? Princess used to allow you to book excursions in advance and not have the charge show up until you were onboard. When they stopped this practice, there was much grumbling from their customers. They compromised by allowing you to use OBC before the cruise to pay for excursions. The time limit seemed to be extended to make this work more efficiently.

No, my neologism "Carnival brand" refers to the "Fun ships".  This is an extremely rare occasion when I have booked more than 2 months in advance.

Did you give them your email and ask them to reply?  If you didn’t you don’t hear anything back.

If you booked with HAL you should be able to see it when you log in (it will be added to you OBC).  If you booked with a TA, just ask for a new cruise confirmation.

Hope this helps 🙂

Hi Jacqui!

I did not put my email addy in the coverletter I sent with my brokerage statement by snailmail on 10 Feb. I cannot find anywhere on HAL website to see any OBC nor other perks! For any of my three bookings. It's very strange because I seem to remember helping other people find theirs in the recent past. The website has been mostly dysfunctional for me for the past week, but it would be good to know if we are going to get the $250 for upcoming 28-day cruise...

You booked with HAL?  Are you using a PCC?

If that’s the case, go to them and ask for a new cruise confirmation - it it’s a TA ask them.

the other option is to re-send to World Cruise departmental and ask them to emai you a confirmation.

I emailed after my final payment (unusual for me) but I have my email from World Cruises printed off to take with me, in case.

Oh, and if you have an email - it MUST be printed.  Saved on your IPad, phone, computer doesn’t seem to work on board.

Yes I use a PCC. She's out of the office until 3/3 -- sailing is 3/21 -- but I have her back-up's email and phone extension, so I'll drop her a line tomorrow.

I'm worried because my last email from my PCC was to say my September re-faring was to a restricted fare so I was locked in! I didn't have CCL stock at the time (DH relented), but I surely didn't remember agreeing to a non-refundable deposit. If it also means I don't get my stockowner OBC, I will be a little sourfaced!

ETA, I was already planning to print the emails for the perks we already have, to take in paper form, next month.

I faxed a cover letter with my email/phone# and about 4 hours later I got an email from HAL authorizing the $250 OBC and wishing me a pleasant voyage.  It also showed up right away on my big box ta itinerary.  I was surprised that I got confirmation so quickly.  I will do the same for my Alaska cruise in July. I will take the HAL email with me next month on our Circle Hawaii cruise.

Non refundable deposit shouldn’t affect your stockholder OBC.  I asked previously when I was considering one.

I think any HAL rep should be able to send you an updated confirmation so you can see if it’s there or not.

Definitely call and get it.  If it’s not there, I’d fax it this time (I don’t trust snail mail) and ask for a confirming email.

Good luck!

I submmited my SH paperwork several months back.  Should I have heard back?  How would I tell if it was granted or not?

if you booked with a TA, ask him or her. If you booked directly with HAL, call HAL and ask.

It is possible that it was not received and needs to be submitted again. My TA has said that often happens.

Just from this side of the pond.  Our holding is for Carnival PLC (London stock exchange) and after reading this thread I sent an email this morning to HAL UK requesting stock holder credit for our 15 day TA on Nieuw Amsterdam in November 2020.

Just received an email confirming that the OBC has been applied to the booking and also listing out the various other OBC's attached to the booking.  So it only took 4 hours for the OBC to be added and confirmed.

👍

Sorry, I am still a little bit confused when you can and can not receive the OBC from your CCL.  We just took a cruise to South America on HAL but booked it 6 weeks before departure.  (We had already been there but wanted a Christmas cruise).  Would we have qualified for the OBC or would the last minute booking disqualify us?  What is this "special price" that you have that sometimes disqualifies you, other than the "casino cruise" which I fully understand.  Does it qualify for a "grand" cruise if you have already booked?  Does the OBC depend on the cabin you have purchased?  Can you book with a big box TA?

Sorry for all the questions.

We are thinking about buying the 100 shares because the stock is sinking and after this is all over the stock will eventually rise again.

Thanks for any help.

We have never had an issue getting the stocks credited but we don’t gamble so don’t get a casino offer.  I’m not sure if this link will work that gives details.

S&B-the stocks are way down and may continue to fall.  We bought years ago and it is a nice bonus to have when you cruise often.

Last minute bookings don’t disqualify you.  You do need to have it submitted before 3 weeks before your cruise.

Interline rates, the deals TA gets for themselves, etc.  Most of us don’t get those 😉

No, the OBC does not depend on your cabin.  Everyone, no matter what category that is entitled receives it.

Absolutely.

It’s one of the best investments I have made from the perspective of the OBC I have received which is in U.S. $ (exchange rate adds to the benefit) and tax free.

I’ve probably gotten most of my original investment back in OBC by now and the stock has increased substantially in value since I bought 😉

Haha, my DH didn't want to fax it -- since he retired at New Year, we have to PAY to fax at our maildrop! Anyway we mailed it and my PCC's backup both emailed me to say the $250 had been processed and sent a new confirmation showing total OBC, lots and lots of OBC!

I will print the 'receipts' for my separate purchases of (2) Beverage Packages and (1) Premium Internet. This is starting to feel real!

I found it.  It showed up on my TAs website.  Thanks for the advice.
