M-Class Select Dining Question

Is Select Dining held on the upper or lower level of the dining room on the M-Class ships?

That was not the case on our September 2019 Summit cruise. SD was on the lower level of the MDR. Also on our September 2018 Infinity cruise.

On our September 2019 Summit cruise SD was on the lower level of the MDR. Also on our September 2017 and 2018 Infinity cruise.

Perhaps it my depend upon how many select diners are on the cruise. We've been on multiple M class ships with select dining and always were on upper level.

Did a B2B to Bermuda last summer. Both weeks select was lower level.

Millennium in November/December cruises to Japan and SE Asia select was on lower level

I believe the M-Class ships are shifting to the lower level due to demand.    If the ship is supported you can make a reservation for your desired time.    They have separate desks / lines for those with and without reservations.

Just came back from a Summit Cruise. Select was on deck 4 and timed dining on 5. As a side note, personally I love the timed dining (late seating). As the week progressed, we built quite the rapport with our servers, sommolier and the diners nearby.

We always do that also with SD as we have the same table and time each evening.

Also just back from a Summit Cruise, probably the same as davekathy.  Our select dining was always on the lower level (4).
