this was a beautiful ship! all new and clean everywhere we got to the pier about 12:15, were told the prevous cruise was late getting off, so we did it right. funpass line had alot of people, but it moved all the time. go to the bathroom before u get in line! it did take about 45 minutes or an hour to get through it all. cabin was 2254 main deck forward. thank GOD! about the 2300 mark and back it stunk like a sewer plant. the whole time, it was nasty. we did not have the odor up front. and unsupervised kids running all night. i cannot imagine letting my 8-9 year old run around alone! i mean everywhere! 2am we were in teh casino, kids all over by themselves and 3 were ploped down at the bar! go figure. cruise director was very funny. the best we have had so far. robi hood story was really funny. 3-bears not so good.did not see the majic act, but the others were good. comedians funny and the r-rated midnight shows good too. casino was very tight! hit $375 the second night, lost $50 at the poker table in a few minutes, finally got back about 300 the last night. this is where the smoke is. not to bad though. no problems anywhere else with smoke that i noticed. we were in the golden dining room, food very good, had lunch in the platinum room aft one day, wow!! she was rocking and shaking, glad we did not have dinner here. but...the first few days was very rough. i had a group of 14, most all took dramimine, we were all fine. i thought the red sail buffet was terrible. the smae salad, raisins, dressings some weird crap i never heard of too. carving stations were ok, but kinda dry. the deli was fine by my group, as were the fish and chips. chinese was good according to my friends, did not try. pizza, ceaser salads always good. my burger was so dry i left it for trap shooting!haha yuck. but there r so many options for eating, i just went to a different staion if i did not care something. the card ya leave on your door at night for early breakfast delivered to your cabin, out of 6 days, i received it 2x. and no milk for cereal. dry rice krispies. anyone thinking down there?? and we never did get the right things on any of them. coffee and juice got us moving. lots of clubs for all interests of entertainment. nassau, we did the blue lagoon island, WOO-HOO!!! beautiful place. this time of year the water is cold, so we knew not to take a snorkel tour here. the island is full of palms with hammocks strung between for lounging. and there is a bar and gift shop and about 9 bucks for a hotdog and fries. not me!! but i do not care for nassau at all, so i enjoyed the island very much. my whole group went. very peaceful, safe lagoon to swin in if u can take the cold!! st thomas, went shopping in the morning at havensite right off the ship, afternnon went to red hook for ferry to st john. trunk bay as always beautiful! after al the cruise people left, we had the island almost alone!! but...they lock the bathrooms and shut off water at 4:30 so we had to try and wash off sand with our bottles of water. then sat and had a drink next to the pier waiting for the 6:00 ferry back to red hook. rasta guy playing tunes and happy hour at the rest/bar. cool. back at ship at 6:45. great day. st maarten was new to us. lots of shopping right off ship. nice, clean area with 3 open air bars on the pier. went to pinel island tour. yes!! 20 minute bus ride, 5 min ride in a boat, wow it was great too!! snorkeling very good here. shore excursions told us no shade here, so 3 of our group did not go. shade all over!! lots of trees,rest/bar under shade, boutique, chairs/unbrellas. no running water on this island, i had antibacterial wipes in my bag, they do have bathrooms but i did not see any sinks. i just changed clothes but i still used a wipe on my hands, germs!! this was a fun cruise, lots to do, chairs do get scarce around the pool. just throw one on the deck and take a seat! tough, if i see a chair that nobody is using for awhile it is mine. lots of chairs up on the panarama deck, and no kids screaming up there either! all in all great cruise would go it again. but....would book and upper deck, hoping no screaming kids up that high! some lady called security on our deck one evening. never seen such a thing, we r midnighters so we r up all night anyway, but we heard alot of complaints about the kids. immigration at st thomas was not bad. u do NOT have to be up at 7am. we got up about 8. someone from your group needs to go to the talk the day before, they tell u the order of the cabins in which they will be called for immagration, so u know! we were called 3rd, so when we heard the deck before us, we went on up to the 5th deck got in line, by the time we got to the front of the line they called ours, we were there so went on in got our sticker and off we go. painless and it moves quickly, leave the sticker on your shirt, it is needed to get off the ship. debarkation. we sat in the amber lounge from 8am til about 9:30. 9:45 before our deck was called. again, go to the head before u get in this line!!!! it is not to bad if u do this!! my husband did not, after 2-3 cups of coffee...and there r no more until u get through the line! we were off around 10:30. we were in no hury, stayed at local hotel til sunday. u can use self assist, carry your own bags off, u get off first. next time....
