Agree. i watched the news and the steps they are taking is amazing like food delivery has the temperature of the person who made the food and delivered the food.  when food I delivered it is put on the ground and the person steps way back until picked up.

they have hundreds of folks who do nothing but walk around trains and malls and public places with disinfectant.

 

why china built a hospital in 5-6 days.  Too bad back in December China did not listen to the whistle blower who got arrested and then the poor fellow also died.

 

The WHOLE WORLD will be studying this Virus and how it spread and what measures worked and did not work for years to come.

The USA has a perfect opportunity to show it can do it better than Japan but I suspect it will be justy order everyone home to self quarantine.

 

I am of the opinion now that all susceptible persons on the planet try and self quarantine as trace and report now doesn't seem to be stopping the spread at all.

World governments will learn a lot from this experience I think and when it's over I suspect that the Chinese approach will be seen as justified except for the secrecy bit early on though.  I am not so confident  western citizens especially those from the USA will respond in such a co-operative maner in country.

 

We have people fighting over dunny paper here in Australia right now !

Pretty sure they won't repeat Japan's mistake of quarantine them on the ship for 14 days.  So either let people with no symptoms (or tested negative) go home for self quarantine or bus them to some kind of a military base.

There are now 3 identified passengers from the earlier Grand cruise that tested Covid19 positive. 2 are alive, one is dead.

 

Local health departments are supposed to be tracking down all the other passengers, but the US does not have enough test kits.

It is still more effective than all standing together and breathing on each other when you strongly suspect you have multiple cases on board.

 

Like hand sanitizer, it's not perfect, but it's something...

 

And it also ensures employees can be pulled from shifts and checked themselves (vs keeping open a pool, a bar, etc) and focused on super-cleaning...

If they don't already, Ship air filtration may need to be upgraded to hospital grade hepa filtration. Perhaps portable air scrubbers could be delivered to the ship?

And where they could get into fights, get into arguments, etc...when in a bad situation, you want to minimize the groupings of people to the greatest extent to keep it safe and peaceful...

Those facilities in China were not to stop the spread among the people who went there. They were to stop the spread to the rest of the population. They could do the same thing by keeping them on the ship.
