Sunshine3601 Posted March 8, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2020 I had a cruise on grandeur this month that I booked from cruise certificate I received in casino last fall. I upgraded from ov to balcony and paid when booked. Anyone know if they are giving just fcc for the money I paid to upgrade if I cancel? It would stink to lose the free ov cruise from casino. My Dh is a transplant recipient on anti rejection meds so he is immune compromised and a high risk for covid. If the virus doesnt recede by march 24th we will have to cancel not worth the risk for him. Would be nice if they say we can pick another cruise for the casino certificate. I am not referring to the annual prime cruise.

I am not referring to the annual prime cruise. Talked to casino rep today. Same as you we had a free cruise and we did upgrade. Rep said we will get back taxes and fees on credit card. Cruise insurance is lost. Upgrade fare as future cruise credit. No reissuing of free cruise certificate. Seems a bummer! DH has health issues so we have really no choice but to cancel. On all our 4 cancelled cruises,(2 in March & 2 in June) both the port chgs & ins.amounts were refunded back to our Visa, (separately). I did ask for the total refund, & did not ask for the future cruise offer of the 125% off(since I didnt pay for the cabins)and we did not upgrade. I did hear that then , they might move the insurance to the new booking. Post their response after you call. Edited June 6, 2020 by EZ1
