Probably everyone else except for me knows this. But ATN does have a medical certificate form on their website. It's very odd as it looks like it could be signed by your next door neighbor.

Let us know if anyone knows more.

The government confessed a few days ago that they couldn't prevent people who don't have a certificate from boarding the plane. They just don't have the authority to do that (the information in French can be found here).

That's why, as it states at the bottom of the form available on the website, you can just show up without a certificate but a check-up will be performed to make sure you don't have any symptoms.

This form?  https://www.airtahitinui.com/sites/default/files/docs/formulaire-passagers-06-mars-2020.pdf

The way I read the info here https://www.airtahitinui.com/us-en/reinforcement-precautionary-measures-taken-french-polynesian-government on the ATN website, you fill out the top of the form, then present it at the check-in counter. They will have a medical professional on hand to, presumably, take your temperature and complete and sign the bottom.

Got a NEW email from Air Tahiti Nui this morning with updated requirements. If you've transited through the usual countries you need the medical certificate within 5 days of travel signed by a medical pro. But if you haven't all you have to do it self certify that you aren't sick. They'll have forms available at check in if you don't print one off before.

I kept my dr's appt for my April 14 cruise as the situation is fluid and could revert I'm thinking.

Prohibition of entry into the territory of French Polynesia for all non-residents of French Polynesia.

The Government of French Polynesia has issued an updated travel advisory. Effectively immediately, only Residents of French Polynesia will be granted entry. Accordingly, we regret to inform you that Air Tahiti Nui will only board for travel to Papeete, French Polynesia, passengers showing residency status in the destination. This is a temporary measure, expected to last two to six weeks.

News: Air Tahiti Nui to suspend flights from Tahiti

https://amp.rnz.co.nz/article/1b7df4d3-bae6-4aec-828f-a441b3d095aa

If you read the whole article, it sounds like a complete shutdown of all scheduled flights by all carriers, including inter-island flights, for a month.

Wow!
