Norway closes ports for cruise ships bc of Corona

I am sorry to tell you this but Aalesund, Stavanger and Bergen has closed their ports for cruise ships.

I am not sure how long for except Ålesund, which is closed until 1 May.

Oh, I hope this finally convinces my husband and our friends that we shouldn't go... We're booked on Aida aura leaving Hamburg March 28th.  But it'll probably take the cruise being cancelled.

Indeed it is upsetting news, but these measures should help us prevent the further spread of virus. And I think this might be a good idea re-scheduling a cruise to a later date especially in a view that most travel companies are offering very favourable prices, cancellation terms and discounts for cruises and tours this summer. Hopefully the global situation gets better soon and we can travel freely again.

As far as I know there are cancelled cruises untill the begining of May, and all futher are still on schedule

I expect May to be another No Cruise month.  And it will take awhile before ships start to fill up once they resume sailings
