I was listening to some one on the coral princess.

Apparently the ship  hadn’t had contact with anyone for 20 days and all of a sudden just before Miami they had 6 cases and 2 died.

They have no idea where it come from ,maybe someone was careless.

It would have to be strick and thorough. Possibly if they flew crew in and quarantine them. Maybe Hamilton Island?

Then it must have been an asymptomatic or sniffly nose passenger or crew who just didn't present to medical.

No, the report is incorrect about no-one on the Coral having contact with anyone else for 20 days before COVID appeared. When the ship was in Buenos Aires on 19th March, hundreds of passengers were disembarked to fly out, but by the time the buses arrived at the airport, some of the planes had left. The passengers who missed their planes were taken back to the ship after spending quite some time in the airport. Also while they were in BA, local officials boarded the ship.

This is the report on 31st March (12 days after leaving Buenos Aires):

The medical center onboard Coral Princess has reported a higher-than-normal number of people presenting influenza-like symptoms.

Many have tested positive for regular influenza, however given the concern surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus), and out of an abundance of caution, guests have been asked to self-isolate in their staterooms and all meals will now be delivered by room service. Crew will remain in their staterooms when not working.

That’s pretty reckless but that’s what the passenger said on Sunday on Australia all over.

How come it’s carnival in the spot light all the time.

Yes, makes one wonder, industrial espionage perhaps from a rival cruise line? Stranger things have happened.

It may have been on the supplies rather than a person.
