I finally received an email this morning from Celebrity regarding our cancelled cruise.    According to this email,  Celebrity will credit our CC "within two billing cycles" for our Select Dining reservations and our complimentary Elite Loyalty Internet Minutes.    Both of these things were "complimentary" and cost us exactly.........$0.      Nothing further mentioned in that email about the real refunds and FCC for such frivolous things such as  cruise fare, taxes, port charges, airfare, etc.

I guess I should take this email  as progress, but all it really does is further demonstrate to me what a screwed up accounting  system that RCCL has.

Requested a refund on 4/22 for our canceled (by Celebrity) 5/31 6-night Equinox cruise.  Cruise was booked directly through Celebrity. Just received a full refund (4 separate refunds but all on the same day) back to our credit card on 5/18. Much quicker than I expected. Hopefully they have worked through the log jam and are getting the refunds out quicker now.

I received five credits back on April 29 for a canceled by X cruise sailing March 29 that I requested a refund for on March 16.  Those credits were $148.68 short.  I called X on April 30 and was told the remaining amount was being processed.  When I hadn't seen anything I called again on May 12 and was told a notification on this booking showed an amount being processed on April 23.  I just saw the final credit on May 23.

So all the monies I requested in refunds are now received.  In spite of this I'm going to cancel a Equinox sailing on September 14 as final payment is due mid June and cancellations of sailings are currently through the end of July.  I'd have to pay in full six weeks before there is even a possibility of X sailing again and what that entails.  And the September cruise is an 11 day visiting 7 ports....I don't believe it will happen, at least not in its current itinerary and I don't want to have to chase down another refund.

Nope.  Still waiting for refunds on B2B2B starting May 25.  So far I've received 9 credits to my AmEx.  Celebrity still owes me around $5,000.  Not impressed.

I was actually shocked that the refund came as quickly as it did. I was thinking it would be several months. There really doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason as to who receives what, when and how. I hope you get your refund soon especially with such a large amount due back to you!

I received a full refund for my 1st April cruise. However for my 21st April one, I am still waiting the refund of my cruise fare, ~£3,500, they have refunded me some money - taxes, on board purchases and pre-paid grats which was a couple of weeks ago now.

Happy to report full refund received - thankyou Celebrity - no complaints directed anywhere during the process and seems patience is virtuous afterall .

Chill and ye will receive , and less angst during this testing time cant hurt .

If only Virgin hadnt crapped itself here in Australia - we are destined to lose many many 1000's of dollars but  thats a different story . Cancelled a Regent Cruise and took another hit  re their Cruise penalty - at least its a FCC . Just saying - we will jump on the next cruise available - hope its with Celebrity .

Glad it works for some, but next week we will file a dispute if the refund they claim was already  processed does not appear .

i called celebrity UK today to cashe up my taxes refund and FCC for the norway cruise that didnt go ahead on 9th May - the cruise was cancelled by celebrity back in March. was told the cancellation had been actioned this weekend and FCCs issued so should expect to see funds back on card and email with FCCs any time now. i asked why i received an email in march telling me the taxes should be with me in 10 days and FCC by 13th May and was told that initially when cruises were cancelled the email was sent out and the cruises cancelled off the system but that meant they couldnt go in and issue refunds against it - so instead they have had to go through "1.2 million" (so he said !!) cruises manually and issue refunds and then they can do the cancellations which is why its taken so long - now just need to wait and see if he is right and we get things this week....

Sent CelebrityOneTouch an email asking about FCC since cruise was cancelled 11 weeks ago.  Automatic rely said they would read my email in 3 weeks.  Very sad performance.  Cruise with Confidence.  HA HA HA

Looks like the $900 refund has finally come through. Yay!

We went through all our paperwork and BOA bills.  Not so easy to figure out because of the way X does the refund amts.

All refunds seem to have come through now,  and we may owe BOA $500`for money they gave us while investigatiing. We still have a large neg credit so hopefully it will sort itself out  in a cycle or two.  Also expect BOA point deductions.

So for now we will stick with our one booked Connie cruise and will look for a Plan B  short backup  cruise to use with our FCC,  in case Connie does not happen in Jan 2021.

Wish everyone good luck with future cancellations and refunds.  This was a very helpful thread!

Just got my refund from our cancelled Summit cruise (not) sailing  4-25-20.

I must admit that I was getting frustrated, but posts here kept announcing refunds for sail dates leading up to mine, giving me hope!

Thanks, everyone!

Received nothing so far but it has only been 5+ weeks but thinking all of this through I have a new question. We booked with a TA who offers OBC for booking with them.  This s from them not from Celebrity. So, if Celebrity is paying the TAs their commissions on these canceled cruised why shouldn't the TA be kicking something back to us?
