Did produce a giggle at ourselves when we saw your post! LOL,yeah, especially the practise bit.Turns out it was the concrete around the cover that came loose.Wouldn't happen here, they'd just drag Bob the builder out of Wetherspoons with a bucket of "muck" and a pointing trowel.

I got up at 05:00 this morning and made a brew, I can't remember the last time I did that or woke up and couldn't nod off again, I find counting my money helps no end in getting me off to sleep. I am that pleased with myself I threatened to put the heating on. We have friends coming over today so a proper roast dinner and my speciality; apple and blackberry crumble for dinner. Yesterday I went for my dressing removed, the wound has healed up nicely and no sign of infection, it was great to have a shower without being trussed up in clingfilm, I know some people have strange fetishes but I don't think wrapping myself in clingfilm quite does it for me. I can get my kicks from cruising. I might have a crack at that fur coat and no knickers that everyone is raving about. Have a great day everyone. Just be careful walking up the atrium stairs Phil. 1

As she has MS, she rang 111 for anti-viral medication and they are sending it a taxi😲 No wonder the NHS is short of money! I hope your daughter gets well soon ,thought mine was a cold and went through boxes of tissues with it . As for the taxis when we had our private hire airport business that my wife ran ,we used to get a lot of NHS work ,running things like documents that the doctors and specialists needed from one hospital to another ,with what we charged worked out far cheaper . Than lets say using one of their own staff and vehicle costs ,that possibly was out on other important work anyway . 5

When I had it last year the NHS were brilliant and put me on a “virtual ward” where I had to record my oxygen levels every few hours and send it to them via an app, a Dr rang me every day too Michelle 6

How many years ago was this Kalos, surely they e-mail, WhatsApp or messenger documents nowadays. Although having said that for her hospital appointments my wife gets an appointment card, then a follow up patient portal letter, and sometimes a further copy by post. Last time she had to have anti-viral medication someone had to go to the hospital in Truro to collect it. As my youngest daughter is a nurse there, it wasn't a problem.

That was an example john could be a full file , but we didn't ask what was in the sealed box , not just a couple of flimsy bits of paper . They asked we took it . Josy1953 Posted November 17, 2023 #52336 Share Posted November 17, 2023 When we got home from a lovely lunch I had a nice surprise. The post had arrived and DH's cousin had sent a gift for me, it is a little bracelet with 1 silver and 1 gold feathers on it on a card that says "Feathers Appear When Loved Ones Are Near'". I have ordered one online for my niece's daughter.

pete14 Posted November 17, 2023 #52346 Share Posted November 17, 2023 A beautifully clear starry, starry night, perfect for the Northern Lights but they seem to be having a night in drinking Norwegian wine in front of the telly. The only cloud is caused by Aurora’s chimney. I guess we are not far enough North but when we get there, I doubt we have such a perfect night sky.

kalos Posted November 18, 2023 #52349 Share Posted November 18, 2023 Good morning it's a 8.c grey start to the day here . Like that photo @twotravellersLondon has posted 🙂 I thought I would have a crack at spotting them so got well wrapped up and shortly after 8pm I was rewarded to spectacle of light of many colours just over the hedges A truly rewarding sight but that's enough about Syd and him testing his Christmas lights in his back garden a few doors away from us .🙃 Have a nice day 🙂 4
Rare Eddie99 Posted November 18, 2023 #52350 Share Posted November 18, 2023 What a wet morning! Hopefully things will dry soon Apart from giving the dog a run I don’t have to be outside anyway - plenty to be getting on with here in the warm & dry
