Looks beautiful where you live. I would give anything to have that kind of space around me right about now. Well, anything but the snow and cold 🙂

Hope you don’t mind I “borrowed” your princess picture a few weeks ago. Couldn’t resist!

Having some acreage is nice.

No problem with the photo.

Its a great way to show support for my favorite cruise line.

Thanks for starting this thread. My wife and I have plenty of time on our hands being indoors all day as we are retired. We do take our morning walks to get some exercise. Fresh air really helps! We had to cancel our Las Vegas trip for April 1-4, easy decision. Just hoping we can start cruising sooner than later. We have the Ruby Princess booked out of Seattle for Sept. 26th and are keeping our fingers crossed. We are taking this coronavirus very seriously. Kenosha, Wi. where we are from has 5 confirmed cases. Milwaukee which is only 30 miles north of us has over a hundred cases with 4 deaths to date. With everyone doing their part we can over come this virus. God bless the medical personal and everyone in the fight to protect us. Stay safe cruise critic members.

Cheers - Ken & Darlene

Well thanks to the selfish people here in Miami, marinas and boat ramps are now closed, with the exception of commercial fishermen   More people out of work and something that so many can do to get out and about.

Sadly, I really don't think everyone fully understands how every individual action from every single person wil make an impact. We can choose to stay isolated to flatten the curve, or carry on as usual...with yet-to- be -seen consequences. Merely hoping the virus goes away ISN'T ENOUGH.

In the meantime, I'm baking and listening to classical music.  I have a balcony in my personal owner's suite here in BC. I plan to stay home until at least the end of  March. Tea and scones at 4:00.

Hello from Ottawa,

everything is pretty much closed here as well except for grocery stores, pharmacies and take-out. My husband and I are near the end of our 14 days self-isolation period since we returned from abroad in early March. We had left Canada in December and were supposed to be away until the end of March with 2 back to back cruises out of Australia.  We cancelled our second cruise, re-booked flights and flew home early when we saw things getting worse. We are glad we did not wait for the Government to tell us to get back home as many people are now stranded with countries shutting down borders. So far our health is good so hopefully we did not pick up the virus in our travels. The weather is nice here with the spring sun melting the snow. Once we are out of self-isolation we will be able to take walks (while maintaining the recommended distance from everyone else). Hope everyone keeps safe and healthy.

We live in a small (population about 4500) Washington state coastal town. As of

yesterday, many coastal towns in Washington and Oregon have now made Emergency

Declarations and have BANNED any tourists or RV's.  Also the following must

cease business: VRBO (and that sort of thing),  hotels, campgrounds.

Our town has not yet done that but I expect it to most likely happen next week.

We have had one case County wide. And Thrak- it looks like we will not be using

our one year old trailer for a while... 😪

😁 My back covered deck is my Aft Premium Deluxe balcony.

🤣 So glad I have lots of wine. Our extra fridge is my our cooler.

Be well, everyone!

We live in Sebring Florida halfway between Bradenton on the Gulf side and Fort Pierce on the Atlantic.

So far no cases of the virus in Sebring or Highlands county.

We live on a golf course and are members, it remains open but members are riding in their own golf carts instead of pairing up. No food and beverage in the clubhouse but the pro-shop remains open. No one puts their hand on the flag stick. I carry around a small bottle of Purell in the cart and use it quite often while playing, we don't shake hands after the round with our fellow competitors,  just give each other the V sign.

We made 2 grocery runs this past week standing in a line of about 50 waiting for the Walmart or Publix to open at 7AM, everyone in line stood at least 6 feet apart.

We bought what we needed and were out of the store in 15 minutes.

We have about 600 movies on DVD, never watched so many movies in one week like this past week, I really miss sports on TV especially Golf, Hockey and Baseball. Also miss dining out, we usually have 2 dinners and 1 breakfast a week here in town.

I sort of lost my cool with a fellow golfer on Friday, this guy is sort of a goofball and is 61 years old which makes him a kid at our golf club. He loves playing the slots and gets quite a few free cruises. So on Friday this guy decides to drive over to the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa (90 miles) where there are Covid cases in the area, he had 150 dollars in free slot play and had to use it by 7AM. He left his home at 2:30AM and was back in time for his 8AM tee time but I got on him for taking a chance and possibly leading to infections here in Sebring, he giggled and said he took precautions, what a jerk.

My own feeling is that this virus will be around for awhile and I can't imagine that there will be Cruise lines up and running in 30 to 60 days. I hope I'm wrong but I don't expect to cruise until the fall at the earliest.

Hello from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. It was sunny but cold today, hovering around 0C and below, especially when considering the wind chill.  We are watching movies, playing lots of co-operative board games (ironically “Pandemic” is our favourite, but also Forbidden Island and others) and my wife got the recipe for the Toasted Almond Martini which she loves on Princess ships and she’s made herself a couple this past week.  We were supposed to be on Sky Princess March 14-21 but we cancelled that on Feb 28.  Hang in there everybody!!

Thank you for post. I just sent out a terse message to my extended family members. To remind them that we are in the middle of this pandemic, and every individual action counts. I guess I lost my cool a bit, too. What are we/ they thinking? Rocky seas ahead, I guess. I'm booked for a trip in September, but I won't be too surprised if it gets cancelled. Stay healthy!

I live in New York on Long Island.  Like many other places, only essential business stays open - supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants for takeout and delivery, liquor stores, gas stations, etc.  One thing I haven't seen anyone else mention is that the two banks I deal with have sent emails that they are only seeing people by appointment.  We have stopped watching so much news, because we find it upsetting.  We now limit ourselves to a half hour program each evening so that we can keep up to date on the latest developments, plus we can pick and choose what to read on our computers and we do get the local newspaper delivered each day.  Sadly, we have cancelled two cruises we had planned on for this summer, and look forward to our 2021 cruise that is booked.

Being a senior citizen, I am considered high risk.  My husband and I have already self quarantined for a week, but now the "official" New York state pause has begun.  I am fine with staying home to prevent the spread of this virus.  I am fortunate to have a house with a back yard, so I can get fresh air without being near others.  However, I miss my grandchildren.  They were supposed to come over last weekend to celebrate a birthday, which we cancelled.  I have enough food for a few weeks because I have a habit of buying three when things are on sale, so over time, it accumulates.  I only bought a little extra when this thing started.  However, I am low on perishables like milk, bread, eggs, fruit, etc.  I have some canned alternatives, but sure would prefer the fresh items.  I will do without for another week or two, but eventually will have to go out to the supermarket and that really scares me.  Like other places, some stores are offering a senior shopping hour.  One store who is not offering a senior hour is limiting the number of people they will allow in the store at any one time so we can all keep our distance.  That is where I will eventually go.  One neighbor went to the early senior hour and reported that the store was not crowded.

We are keeping busy with some household chores like cleaning out closets, putting out holiday decorations for Easter, painting the ceilings (luckily we had previously purchased the paint).  My sister and I are trying to keep things on a lighter note by texting each other a picture each day of the the things we are doing to keep busy during the quarantine.  I'm worried about my children - one lives in NYC, but he was directed to work from home already a week before the official pause started.  Also, my daughter works in a large office where one worker tested positive.  And my other son must continue to go to work as he is a 911 operator.

My aunt lives in an Assisted Living residence and no one there has been sick.  All visiting was stopped at least a week ago.  Now residents are confined to their rooms, and meals are now brought to them instead of dining in the dining room.  Luckily, she has a tv and a phone.  I ordered a number of books to keep her busy - activity books, novels, picture books, inspirational books, etc. from Amazon.com.  I think not knowing how long this will last makes it a bit harder to deal with.  I hope everyone will stay safe and maintain a positive approach.

March Break officially over, and today starts adventures in Homeschooling.  So far we've watched half a video about penguins, a third of a video about sloths, played educational online games for a half-hour each (mostly math oriented), and now the kids have abandoned ship for the story-time upstairs with Granny (we house-share with my parents... and the only one leaving the house is my husband as much as possible).  Mum isn't a very good cruise director, apparently.  So, off comes the CD hat and on goes head chef... off to take lunch orders.

Good luck! Hope you have some books to read, as well. Use maps, look up the countries that are in the news. Draw, paint, listen to different styles of music, ...have fun!

Here in Charlotte NC, we are in our second week of "Stay the Hell Home"!

Restaurant employees are out of work and bars are closed. Several restaurants have special family menu deals for pick-up, they bring it right out to your car.

Thankful for the state and county to take that action unless you are essential personnel.  God Bless the essential personnel.

Our schools are closed and if/when they re-open will be online/video.  Colleges students had until Sunday to clear their dorm rooms and prepare for online studies.

Our grocers are stocking and cleaning overnight and have set the 1st hour of opening to elderly or compromised patrons only.  Very smart of those grocers.

Unfortunately, parents who work and have children, teens etc... May not know that there offspring is not practicing social distancing.  They are hanging close in groups at parks and in parking lots, and have lots of cars parked outside there homes from 11:00 am until about 4:30!!!!!!! They do not seem to care that the longer they have this behavior, the longer we all will be in lock down!

God Bless everyone and Remember:

Social Distance, Wash hands and drinks lots of rum ( I mean water)!!!

Your local symphony, Toronto, has posted a wonderfully educational Appalachian Spring on YouTube.  Enjoy! The video shows each instrument being played. Beautiful!

We're keeping the kids sheltered from the news as much as possible (they're not-quite-6 and barely-7 and the older one is already prone to anxiety 😞  But we've been listening to music (thankfully our in-house collection is already extensive and diverse), and reading lots (although we're going to run out of books soon... and everything at the library (ebooks online) that they'd be interested in is at least a 3 week wait.  Well... hopefully they'll learn patience and to not be picky from this.  lol

City has declared a State of Emergency.  All non-essential businesses have been ordered closed.  Unfortunately hubby is essential.  I expect the order (rather than request) to stay in our homes will come shortly.

Board games, sing, bake with the chef upstairs?  Enjoy the time together. Your kids will grow up fast, enjoy their age. I taught elementary school for 34 years. Mindfulness is a great trend to help with anxiety. Stay calm and carry on!

Received a check in the mail today from Bottom Line Technologies from our cruise on the Sky Princess for Feb. 8-22. It took 4 weeks to receive which wasn't bad. So I went to the credit union to deposit to just take a break from the house, doors were closed and they are only using the drive up windows. I suppose it's that way all over the country now with financial institutions.

Darlene and I have been watching a lot of Turner Classic Movies on TV at night. Been recording them so we have them ready to go. Darlene has also been doing some baking, so the goodies go hand in hand while watching movies! Wednesday I'm planning to rent a carpet cleaner from our local hardware store. It's one project we wanted to get done this spring, so it's a good time to do it since we're hunkered down.

The news has not been the best around here with the virus, Kenosha jumped from 5 to 10 cases and Milwaukee doubled up from 100 to 200 plus cases in two days. We don't plan to leave the house at all, except maybe for a few things from time to time at the grocery store. Stay positive and safe everyone, we will get through this!

Cheers - Ken & Darlene

Hi from New Zealand, our country is going into total lock down Wednesday midnight.  Husband, daughter and I are all working from home (nothing new for me.)  I have my own home office, daughter works down stairs, husband has dining room/lounge.  We are stocked up on food and supplies, we bought a bit extra every time we shopped, no need to hoard goods or panic buy.

We were to sail on the Sky Princess on a Baltics cruise April 25th which was to be our first cruise with Princess.
