Victoria, Seychelles. Beach Day on our own?

We are hoping to visit Victoria, Seychelles on the Grand Africa Cruise this fall.  Is anyone aware if there is a beach that we could walk to from the ship to spend a day?

The port of Victoria is a commercial port in a commercial part of the city, there certainly isn’t any beach within walking distance.... You can walk into the city (very small city) but any beaches would be a taxi ride away....
