Who wants to come on a virtual cruise?

Seeing as we can’t do the real thing, how about we all go on a virtual cruise together. I suggest we set sail today from Civitavecchia and all have dinner in La Terrazza this evening. Please all post your pics of Rome and la Terrazza. I’d suggest sailing overnight tonight to Livorno for Florence.

Posted this on your other thread (SS pax group) but will put them here too.

November 2007, in Torre del Lago and Pisa. We weren't on SS at that time, but it's a virtual cruise so you don't mind, do you?

First a little free time  on the shores of Lake Massaciuccoli, after visiting Villa Puccini.

Then atop the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We were late in the season so we could actually buy the tickets for the next entry, when we arrived there. Our guide sent us to climb the tower while everyone else toured the church. We just had enough time to run up and grab a few pictures, but it was fun!

We had tried to do that on our first PIsa visit in 2006, but the tours were sold out for the next several hours. So we were glad to have had the chance this second time!

  • 2 weeks later...

Love this idea!

Especially since I was supposed to board the Shadow in Lisbon today..  I'm thinking that I may need to open a bottle of champagne and prepare a lovely dinner this evening to enjoy the fist night of "virtual cruise." Thanks for the idea!
