feenix Posted April 2, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2020 We purchased cancel for any reason coverage in March for a late May cruise, and have since cancelled. There are many reasons we could state for our cancellation, but we also need to avoid reasons that are not covered (such as epidemics). For those who have successfully filed a claim with cancel for any reason coverage, what advice do you have for those of us who will need to file a claim. Thanks. luv2trvlnow Posted April 2, 2020 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2020 We cancelled our cruise on February 29 for a May 4 cruise. We had CFAR. We stated that we were cancelling due to family matters. Didn't state anything else. At the end of the day Friday we were notified that our claim had been processed and approved for the 75% and the check would now be processed. We only had a penalty of $300 so we will be receiving $225 back soon.

Hi feenix, It's easy to have a successful cancel for any reason claim. And, it doesn't matter what reason you say, including for the Coronavirus. That's because a cancel for any reason policy means if you cancel for a not-covered you will get back whatever percent your policy pays. I tell people to say "We changed our mind", but any not-covered reason will work. If you happen to be cancelling for a covered, you'll get back all the money you lost. molly361 Posted April 16, 2020 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2020 Had Royal's CFAR insurance and just got our 75% credit. This was for a Feb trip. I don't even remember what reason we gave. I think I just told them that my husband couldn't make it to the ship.
