South Shore Swizzle Will Not Reopen After COVID-19 Pandemic Passes

As in the US many restaurants and local businesses have been hit hard in Bermuda. Unfortunately more closings can be expected. Glad the original Swizzle Inn at Baileys Bay is able to remain open for now. I was able to go there last August and had a good time there.

I tried the South Shore one but in my opinion it lacked the soul of the original one at Bailey’s. Sorry though that the South Shore one has closed. I hope the original one can survive.

It is very convenient after a day at the beach.

I feel sad that I won’t be going to Horseshoe this year. I expect many changes post pandemic.

I hope the original one makes it thru.  On of the things I am most looking forward to is a pitcher of Rum Swizzle on my next trip.

I miss Bermuda. We usually go at least once a year. Missed our Empress May cruise this year. I waited until the last minute to cancel.

I went twice in 2019 so I guess my average of once a year sort of stands but I suspect I won't make it agian until 2022. 

 

We did make it to the Original Swizzle Inn in August 2019.

The original Swizzle Inn was the first stop we made after getting engaged on the beach on that side of the island. Sad to hear about the South Shore one, but I agree with others-- if only one could make it I'm glad its the original one.
