JT1962 Posted May 8, 2020 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2020 The Cayman Islands Tourism Minister said that airports and ports would remain closed until at least September 1 and it was likely cruise ships would not dock in Grand Cayman in 2020. https://caymannewsservice.com/2020/05/tourism-plan-coming-minister/

Rare mamaneedsavacay Posted July 13, 2020 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2020 We are booked on a ship with Cayman on the itinerary for Dec 2020, however, no excursions are currently for sale through the ship. I wonder if this is because they can't be sure we would really be allowed to stop in Cayman. So far I've seen that Calico Jack's and Royal Palms have both gone out of business, so even if cruises are allowed to resume to Cayman, I'm sure the ships will have to revamp their excursion offerings based on what tour operators and establishments survive the times. Sad times.

ejnsb Posted August 15, 2020 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2020 They made it official today. No cruise ships till 2021. Remarkably, they have no active covid cases now.
