jelayne Posted May 9, 2020 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2020 Yes, if Celebrity cancels but that may not happen until after final payment and depending upon where the cruises are Feb 2021 may go- at least we hope so!

Aussie One If Aussie rules are the same. Yes. The downside is they will likely not cancel until after final payment date AND a refund will require 60+ days as they will issue a FCC then you can ask for a refund. If a $100pp charge to cancel might consider just cancelling yourself. Again do not know riles in OZ. In the US they keep.a $100 service fee per person and refund the rest. Deposit is not totally not refundable.

In the US if you cancel a non refundable deposit reservation prior to final payment they take a $100 pp admin fee and any balance is issued as a FCC (not a refund). However with the Cruise With Confidence program I believe they are now waiving the admin fee and you can get a FCC for the full deposit to be applied before 12/31/2021 for a sailing before 5/4/2022. Of course the FCC can't be used for the deposit on the new cruise. It may be better to see if they will just transfer your reservation to another sailing at a later date. I'd certainly ask them to waive the admin fee if you go this route with the justification that they are keeping your deposit longer and they are waiving if you were to take the FCC.
