Which flight out of IAH? 2:30pm or 6:30pm

We'll be arriving in Galveston on the Jewel OTS and will be escorted off the ship by the concierge (in other words, earlier than almost all others). 
We plan to take Uber/Lyft for just the 2 of us to the airport.  What time do you think would be best for a IAH flight?   2:30pm or 6:30pm? 
It's been about 5 years since we've sailed out of Galveston so I'm not sure what the situation is now.  Thanks for the help!

Even though it is over an hour from Galveston to IAH, I can't imagine that a 2:30 flight would be difficult to make, especially if you are one of the first off the ship.

Should have no problem with 2:30 you will have a few hours to kill

Only possible hold up might be fog.

Do not judge Galveston with the past experiences ! 

Fog exists in winter like everywhere , but fog delays have been very few last year ,

because pilots agreed to  stop hijacking ships in Gulf . Pilots were renegotiating new  contracts . We the cruisers were the victims . Royal filed suit against them, and the  pilots and Royal came to new agreement . Higher pilot fees for moving ships in the fog. Other circumstances could always exist , but odds are with you for you’re flight .
