Totally expected our cruise in July to be cancelled and have been patiently waiting.  Noticed today that you cannot book any cruises for July but NCL hasn't cancelled July cruises yet.  Anyone have the scoop?

I’m booked for July 24th on the Sky and am patiently waiting on the cancellation.  I have an alternative date for December if I can get back on the Sky. The kicker is that we aren’t sure what ships will be available in December. I live in Florida so whatever is available I’ll grab it. Need a vacation. The question is what ships will Norwegian allow to cruise on their phase one of limited sailing.

We had our June 27 cancelled by NCL on April 24th, and have now already received the 100% + 25% FCCs as well as the CN back. But this cruise is still showing in my MyNCL account. Our PCC said the IT people are very busy and will get around to getting rid of it.

Just checked the NCL.com and saw that all the July 2020 cruises are no longer there. Just be patient and wait for the notification. The last cancellation wave was on April 24th for cruises from May 15 to June 30. Maybe you can expect the next wave by the end of this month.

When we log into our cruise for July 5th, the actual payment information is not there.  In fact, it has "asked" for payment when going to the page.  I had a mock booking that shows the sailing sold out.  So I am thinking it is coming sometime today or soon.  BTW a sailing starting in June was never a July booking LOL Just sayin'

I see the same thing for my July 27 sailing on the Jewel. Would appear that NCL is in process of dumping/canceling these cruises. Been expecting this.

Yeah this morning they were searchable.  Just waiting for August to disappear now. Strange countdown, usually the countdown is to depart not to cancel.

The cruise will stay on your account until the sail date.  We should be on the 2nd leg of a B2B now and each one disappeared from our accounts on sail day.  Also, we have received points for the first one which would have been completed on May 8.  Will wait and see if we get them for the second leg.

I am on the Boston to Bermuda 7/31 to 8/7.  There is no indication of a cancellation when I sign into my account?

I'm on this trip as well. I hope we hear this week. I will definitely do this trip again but would like to apply for my refund. Hubby has been out of work since March.

In a couple of the other posts some sailing 7/24 are saying they got cancelled.

I think if things are opening up this month like resturants and casinos ect.  they should have been able to start at the end of june or july a few limited cruises.   The cruise industry has been unfairly villinized.

They can't start in June no matter how limited until the CDC recinds the order , which is scheduled to end July 24th.

Until July 24th as it stands Now " NO Sailing"!  There is no interpretation to it. Now we can speculate if CDC will relent , however it isn't likely. CLIA can state whatever, they don't have final say.

Several problems with that thought, first they are still trying to get crew home, second, there are many crew who not want to return, I am being told the cruise lines are in negotiations with their union and it is not going well. Even if they get that settled the next problem is getting crew to the ships, there are really no international flights flying. Let alone many flights just in North America are canceled. Canadians cannot even cross the border to the US. No way to get passengers to the ship. Plus the cruise lines must get approval from the CDC and set in place a plan of how everything will work. Once they can get the NEW crew to the ship it will take weeks to get the crew up and trained. Then there is the fact that most ships are not at embarkation ports. There are numerous logistics to think of. I do not see Alaska cruising going at all which is why Princess and Holland America dropped out early, they knew it was not going to work. I suspect maybe 2 NCL ships to start up in Florida in very late September and a few others to start up in mid to late October. One has to think of the BIG picture of everything and Everyone involved.

there are many crew that need the work to feed their families.  i have seen some on youtube stating as such.   in a few months when things are fully open i dont see an issue replacing crews in a limited capacity.

and i am talking a few southern ports, not cruise fully again.

I truly wish you would stop saying this Seaman. The cruise industry is not being vilified. What is being vilified (maybe not the correct word but surely the enemy here) is LARGE GATHERINGS in confined spaces. The ships could be literally antiseptic and every surface sanitized round-the-clock, but that's not the real issue. While Covid-19 can be transmitted on surfaces, the primary way that people are infected is through droplets in the air that have come from the nose or mouth of someone with an active virus.  It's not the elevator button that's going to kill you, it's the person standing next to you in the elevator breathing with their mouth open LOL

It's just impossible to figure out a way to keep people safely distant from each other on a cruise ship. That's it in a nutshell. Nobody is vilifying cruising. We all love cruising!  It's just the nature of the beast - cruise ships are big packed sardine cans floating in the ocean and the perfect breeding ground for a highly contagious virus.  And they have bare minimum medical facilities should you actually get seriously sick.

I love NCL. I don't want to see their business hurt. And I can't wait to cruise again as soon as it's safe! (and I had Covid-19 AND caught it on an NCL ship so that says a lot!)  But I just don't think it's safe right now and it won't be for a while.  This has been discussed on many threads, but if we have to cruise with masks and social distancing measures then that is proof positive that it isn't really safe.
