Transportation on Nassau Pier

My wife and I are considering a cruise this fall that stops in Nassau. We have been there a couple of times before, but since the last time I have developed some mobility issues that allow me to only walk short distances. As I recall, this is a fairly long pier. Is there any transportation (golf carts, etc.) that can take us from the ship to the jitney or taxi area? Thanks for your help.

This is an old post but yes there is a bus that picks you up at the ship.
