I don’t know. I’m not a smoker.  That’s why I asked.

I'm not a smoker either but if you are required to wear a mask removing it or lifting it to smoke would defeat the purpose.  Either they have to make the casinos non smoking temporarily or abandon the mask. An educated guess tells me that if the mask is mandatory than smoking will be prohibited. I can't see how exhaling smoke into the air would be covid friendly.

I love using the casino onboard, so I’d hate for it to go away. It seems like it’d be easy to have one person’s job be to wipe the buttons of each slot machine after someone leaves. You could maybe press the “call attendant” when you leave to alert them the machine needs to be sanitized.

I think people just need to get over the button touching thing and just wash their hands when they leave the casino or the elevator.  Everytime I use my debit card at the gas station or supermarket I have to enter my pin. That little piece of plastic they have over the keypad is pointless. I just use wipes and hand sanitizer that I keep in the trunk to clean my hands before I get into the car. I don't even wear gloves anymore.  If I had to sail on a cruise with all of the things that are being suggested it would probably cure me from ever cruising again.

There's a good chance that there will no longer be smoking allowed.

We can only hope.

Absolutely. Smokers will cry foul and claim that they won't step foot in the casinos anymore but gamblers gonna gamble gonna gamble.

you can easily turn off every other slot machine so it cannot be used but whats the point really. every single pathway in a ship is a point to catch something as is every elevator. id love to hear someones plan on distancing on a pool deck and who will listen and who will enforce it. only by kicking people off for disobeying will they get anyone to comply. imagine the lines getting on and off the ship at the beginning /end/ and during excursions. thats a nightmare today with 'perfect' circumstances. i would welcome and LOVE if they had every single venue be 6 ft apart on a ship. id be at the pool every day. to date ive never sat on a pool deck because of the crowds. so they would win me over if they can keep everyone 6 feet away. especially at dinner and the theater and in an elevator. but everyone here knows the reality of cruising. i believe not a single thing they plan will actually happen nor be enforced. because the crew size would have to be increased exponentially and theres no room for all those new police. plus they dont enforce now because they dont want angry customers. you can see proof positive on all the beaches that have reopened that people still line up for beach passes/food etc. nothing is gonna change what is engrained in people's minds.

i just wanna know what happened to the sea turtles now that no cruisers arent throwing straws into the ocean. and the environmentalists must be going crazy with all this single use gloves/gowns/grocerybags/silverware/plates thats coming down the pike.

theres more than enough non smokers so give their money. pretty sure casinos have the numbers on land to prove that non smoking doesnt kill revenues.

Have you been to casinos on land? 90% of the people are smokers it seems.  We have gone to the non smoking sections at the casinos and they are pretty empty compared to the rest of the casino and most have their cigarettes/cigars and drinks in hand. If I had to place a bet (lol) I would say they will NOT make the casino non-smoking.

There were once people saying the same thing about the smoking policy on Celebrity. Heck, there were once people saying the same thing about smoking on airplanes lol.

I’m one of those non smokers who will gladly “donate”.  And the non smoking policy has been working well for Celebrity.

My wife and I love going to casinos ,especially on land .

We will never go back to a casino even after the pandemic ends.

If you love going why have you decided to never go again?

Maybe Casino Royale can just set up an online website and you will be able to gamble in your room using your smartphone, tablet or laptop. Let the casino onboard remain as the smoking lounge that it is. Emphysema ,Corona, what's the difference?

Even before the pandemic began casinos were not a place to be .I had Purell in my pocket and used it every few minutes.
