Blue Lagoon on your own

We are booked on a cruise with 4 stops in Iceland in June 2021.   For Reykjavik I’d like to go to the Blue Lagoon.   Rather than being restricted by the 2 hours on the cruise ship excursion, we’d like to go on our own.   How easy is it to get there from the port?  I see they have a bus, would there be a stop near the port?  How much would a taxi be?  Thank you!

Blue Lagoon has their own transportation option you can book on their site.  Buses from the city every couple hours or so.

Taxi would be close to $125 each way.  If you have 4 people it might be worth it.
