I am Loyal to Royal but they are trying my patience. Here is the status of a cruise buddy and my families cruise FCC and refunds

Eight cancelled Cruises

FCC - 4 of 8 received of the 4 - 3 are wrong including an amended one receive today

Port Fee & Taxes - 3 of 8 received, 3 correct

Refundable Air - 2 of 2 received - 2 wrong less than 1/2 the value of the booking

My buddy had his May Disney Cruise cancelled, he called

Refund in credit card in three days

Then he called Delta on a NON Refundable flight, after speaking to a supervisor he received a full credit card refund again in three days.

These are trying time for all, but as they say Come On Man

At 60 days I contact American Express; my money was credited within hours. AMEX and RCL can work it out together, I am no longer a party to any of it.

This is the way to go.  I made a claim and within two weeks received the credit for a canceled June cruise.

Ridiculous.  They have no ships running, put the man hours into refunds.  Thank god we only have 1,200.00 total in deposits for next years 4 cruises.  I'm getting constant emails trying to sell us beverage packages, dining, etc for the January bookings.  Guess they're too busy trying to squeeze more cash out of people to focus on giving any back.   Obviously they are in an awful situation, but if they had been holding onto THOUSANDS of our dollars for 60+ days I'd have a hard time ever sailing them again.

We were in Chile when X cancel the cruise March 14.  Exactly 60 days and we got$7K, still owe us $900

We had a Explorer cruise in Oct out of Rome, we decided to move it to next Sept (Odyssey).  The cruise was paid for and the new cruise was less money.  My TA, after a long fight, convinced them to apply the balance to my Dec 2021 cruise, even though it is against their policy.   Then the new cruise price went down and my TA repriced it and they would not give me an OBC or apply to another cruise.  I just figured it was better then being pissed waiting for the credit.  TheY refused, so I am waiting for $600 from RC.  Funny if they gave the money back already, I probably would have used it for planner purchases.

came across this. Id give it more time but just in case

Good Luck. CC Members/Royal Cruisers had Class Action yrs ago. Settlement by Royal $7 Million Lawyers got cash Cruisers inc Wife and I got $28 in FCC $7 for each Cruise times 2 and required use it within 1yr.. This situation with Royal, others having same issue with other Cruiseline's and Travel... 60 Days could expect and many were told, with Millions Bookings last 2 months. BUT, I'd be hounding them everyday after. Keep after them!

Please be patient. All cruise lines are working hard at getting refunds issued. Unfortunately, their systems aren't really set up for the mass type of refunds they need to get out. There are reports of refunds being 90 days.

I canceled March 9th which was right before RCL canceled my late March  cruise, called a few times (at least 2 hour wait time) and got the “we are working on it check your email “ talk. Had it in the back of my mind and just got an email two days ago with my credit which is good until end of 2021.

Absolutely ridiculous.

There is zero reason for any company to take more than 30 days to refund someone’s money.

No matter how many excuses the posters

on this board make for them, Royal has proven to be a terrible company.

Yes indeed....... plenty of RC shills & most people who spend time on this board know who they are.

Fain advised nearly 2 months ago that RC has got a credit facility for 2.2 billion.  Well if that’s the case, why not pay out refunds within a fair & reasonable time of 30 days maximum?  I suspect RC’s financial situation is dire.  Bankruptcy looms.

Once I get my refunds & FCC’s I’ll post exactly how long it took.

Shills, we’re all waiting for your response............

60+ days is more than patient.  And the excuse they've not dealt with mass refunds is getting old, they've had 2+ months to figure out how to do it better.  It's obvious getting money back to people is simply a low priority for them.

It is worth checking with them... I've been told for two items - it's still processing... several times, which when pressed and they actually looked into it wasn't the case. Still processing is their standard I haven't bothered to look into it answer.

One item was a refund that supposedly didn't push correctly to my credit card a month before... despite several calls after that 'failed push' when I was told that it was 'still processing'. The rep had to send email to have it repushed. Note other refunds had credited back to that card just fine.

Another was an FCC which I was told late at night was still processing and they transferred me to post cruise and I gave up after 1.5 hours on hold. Called post cruise back first thing next morning and told it had processed, and hadn't I gotten the email? No, I had not and they 'resent' it immediately when I was on the phone.

So don't take 'it's still processing' at their word unless they really look into it more closely.

Same across most cruise lines. I finally got a chef's dinner refunded from Carnival but still waiting on cabin refunds from NCL and Carnival. Finally booked an AI for July as I have to have some type of vacation this summer.  Think how happy we'll all be when we get our refunds.
