Paisley12 Posted February 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2006 To those of you who have done an Oceania cruise in early May in Greece and Italy ..... how is the weather REALLY like? Should I take Spring clothes or bring along some warmer clothes? Can you sleep with the veranda doors open or is it cool on the water at night? Liat Posted February 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2006 We spent a week near Barcelona before sailing the Med in May 2003, starting our cruise on May 11. The weather was fine for the entire three weeks. Basically it is fairly warm but pleasant at sea, but will get hot on land in Greece and Italy if the sun is out, which is very likely. We have never slept with a veranda door open since it interferes with the heating/cooling system, but if you want to lounge outside you will probably be warm enough. Bring sun screen and a wide brim hat as well as sturdy walking shoes.
Paisley12 Posted February 9, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted February 9, 2006 Thanks for your quick response! I guess I'll pack for warmer weather then. I'm coming from Philly and I think it is cooler here (most of the time) around that time of year than in Greece or Italy.
