If the airline is not responding then you should have no problem getting a "chargeback" from your credit card company.  Depending on your credit card you might be able to deal with this via a simple phone call or they might require you to submit a formal request in writing.  Do not delay as chargebacks can be subject to various time limitations.  Call the toll free number on your credit card and hit the necessary buttons to get to a human.  If the airline cancelled your flight you are entitled to a full refund per both the USA DOT regulations and similar rules of the European Union.

We recently had a similar situation with Czech Airlines who would not give us a refund for a cancelled flight.  The airline insisted we take a voucher for a future flight.  We called Chase (our credit card provider) and had the money credited back to our card within an hour.
