I also think there was another cruise line that refused them entry, but not for sure. There were some threads about this a while back. But Carnival NEVER enforces it's rules. Yes, it's been floating around the boards for at least a decade now I think. Wonder if she could still pull it off?

But would you take her home to mom in that outfit? 😂 I read they were a very nice and polite couple. 39 minutes ago, Computer Nerd said: But Carnival NEVER enforces it's rules. Well, since my mom has passed there's not much chance of that happening (of course there are many other reasons why I won't be taking her anywhere...LOL). BeachDiva101 Posted July 26, 2020 #156 Share Posted July 26, 2020 I like dressing up a bit for formal nites. Always wear a long dress. My dad is very old school and wears a tux.
Mabbiez Posted July 26, 2020 #157 Share Posted July 26, 2020 I usually don't do formal night but instead eat at Windjammer. That being said, one of my favorite things to do on a cruise is to take a seat at Cafe Promenade and people watch. I love seeing all the sparkly dresses! All the social functions at home have been cancelled; we've worn nothing but casual all these months. We can't wait to really get dressed up again. I'm about ready to put on a tie when I go the grocery store.

taglovestocruise Posted July 28, 2020 #164 Share Posted July 28, 2020 Last cruise on Symphony we had 3 formal nights. Left my suit and tie a home. Wore black dress shoes, cuffed dress pants and one of my best Tommy Bahamas dress shirts. I looked into the mirror and saw my cruising future.. Wife didn't totally approve but she will come around..
