tree.critter Posted June 16, 2020 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2020 Was thinking about the possibility to do a BTB Alaska/Hawaii cruise. Anybody ever try this, would knock off two bucket list cruises in one extended cruise. Wouldn’t mind a west coast in between if necessary.
sanger727 Posted June 16, 2020 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2020 I don't know what itineraries you are looking at but these combos are often illegal because they violate the PVSA. The itineraries that are sold as Alaska to vancouver and vancouver to Hawaii and legal because they stop or start in Canada. You cannot travel from Alaska to Hawaii on an uninterrupted cruise as in a B2B. You would have to change ships or spend a day in Canada to get around this.
Matco Posted June 16, 2020 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2020 Only way to do it on Carnival would be to take the 15 day Hawaii on the Carnival Miracle which leaves April 5th 2021 from San Diego and returns April 20th 2021 to San Diego, then the soonest you could hop on an Alaska sailing would be from Seattle on the Carnival Freedom April 27th 2021 returning May 4th 2021 If you change to Princess you can do a 16 day Hawaii on the Emerald Princess leaving April 15th 2021 from Seattle thru May 1st 2021 and then on the Emerald Princess again from Seattle on a 7 day Alaska leaving May 8th 2021 to May 15th 2021, that was just a quick search on their websites, but my guess is all ships will have a break in between major destination changes, you might be able to find a B2B2B with a small 3-4 day trip in between and on different ships/lines

I was having a bugger of a time trying to find connecting cruises, forgot about a short in between possibility. Thank you!
Matco Posted June 16, 2020 #5 Share Posted June 16, 2020 How about this one, take the Carnival 15 day Hawaii on the Carnival Miracle which leaves April 5th 2021 from San Diego and returns April 20th 2021 to San Diego and then stay the 2 nights in San Diego and the board the NCL Jewel on April 22nd 2021 for a 10 night Alaska trip returning to Vancouver May 2nd 2021

Rare BlerkOne Posted June 16, 2020 #7 Share Posted June 16, 2020 If Panama Canal is on your bucket list you could do a b2b Alaska - Panama Canal cruise on Freedom.
