We are scheduled to go from Redwing to New Orleans on August 1 on the Duchess. With all the new spikes in Covid 19 being reported makes me extremely nervous. Here in Las Vegas social distancing is a joke in the casinos and only 30% of the people are wearing masks. My travel agent told me if we cancel 30 days in advance we would get 75% refund, what a joke. I haven't seen any guidelines as to how American is going to protect the passengers not only on the boat but on excursions as well

We were booked on the Mighty Mississippi for June 22...cancelled by AQSC and we will be using the 125% FCC and booking a couple of cruises with them in 2021.

Health and Safety...here is there current info.

A couple of weeks ago I called and they rescheduled our August 16 Mighty Mississippi on the AQ to next year without any repercussions. In fact, we got a cabin we like better and early dining.  We had not yet made final payment as we had booked during the time they required it at 60 days rather than the usual 90 days.

Maybe a call directly to AQSC would help?

I think there is a good chance your trip will be cancelled anyway.

Bob - check out https://www.americanqueensteamboatcompany.com/health-and-safety/

(If the link doesn't work for you, go to AQSC main page, click the red Travel Alert bar at the top, then scroll down and select the red Health & Safety Protocols button.)  This info is a few weeks old.

We also have an August 1 Mississippi cruise scheduled (NOLA to St. Paul) but on ACL.  ACLs safety protocols are very similar to AQSC's.  After reading them, I thought "this doesn't sound like much fun."  So we too are very uncertain as to whether or not to cancel.
