Celebration Sale

Good Evening ,

 

I am asking for help for a relative who had a cruise booked on the celebration B2B Croatia  cruise for July this year. They had to cancel due to ill heath in February  2020 and asked could they transfer to the same cruise for July 2021 ,which they were allowed to with a an extra charge of £200 . All good so far ,they have now had a call for their TA stating the Celebration is going into retirement and they will now be going on the Explorer 2  With a similar itinerary.They have been on the Celebration before and liked the smaller ship feel and now don’t  really want to go on the alternative .I have just read an article saying the ship was to be sold in April 2020 why they are only letting people know this late is poor .Can anyone shed anyone shed any light on this ,do you think they could cancel and get a full refund plus extra charges as this is not the  goods they originally  the purchased .

You can legally get a full refund of all payments if what you have paid for has been cancelled or is not available under section 12,13&14 of the package travel and linked travel arrangements 2018 (PTR 2018) good luck we are pursuing a similar claim. 🍀

Pleased they have decided to give it a go... it's a lovely ship, still not too big, nothing like the big super ships.

Have sailed on both Celebration and Explorer and enjoyed both - Explorer larger, but we found this much better. Would have no hesitation is sailing on Explorer in the future
