Discovery is listed as one of the West Coast ships. It's not shown on pricing chart as those sailings are already available on Princess.Com...

Thanks. We are already booked on her for two weeks in March 2022. Thank you for posting the information regarding Majestic. We will book her for the fall of 2021. never thought we would have the opportunity to sail  on her so glad the ship will be on the west coast.

I don’t see the Ruby sailing out of SF for Mexico January 7th 2020....booked for that cruise and plan to wait last minute to cancel if things don’t improve...

Check date: she's sailing on the 6th out of SF :-).

Thanks I have a cruised booked for feb 2021; I think I will call and cancel and rebook for Jan 2022.   Have been cruising since l982, have not interest in cruising with a "mask" ... hopefully by 2022... this will be a distant bad dream.

Where did you see that masks are required? 😒 Will need to cancel or move if that's the case.

I wonder if they will rip out the Asian market offerings (Karaoke, Chinese Restaurant, modified Vista lounge, larger casino) on the Majestic for her West coast swing? No Crooners, no cruising for me. Wouldn’t have minded trying the Chinese restaurant though.

Many threads here where cruise passengers are wanting masks to be required.   The way this virus is hanging around, I just don't feel like counting on the cruise experience to be as good as it has been by next Feb, so I am electing to push my next cruise off til 2022.

Ah, that makes sense.  Fortunately I'm immune to dirty looks from strangers 😁.  I'm also assuming that the mask-Nazis won't want to be cruising anyway.   Would be hard to do a transatlantic right now with so many sea days, but I'm looking forward to Puerta Vallarta.

We also wouldn’t sail Majestic as currently configured.  It was specifically designed for the Chinese market.  Crooners has been replaced by a French restaurant—La Mer.  Sabbitini’s is replaced by a Chinese restaurant.  The Vista Lounge is a gambling/lounge. If you just want to have a drink after dinner, you have the wine bar, Bellini’s and the seafood bar in the atrium, and the afterthought Crown Grill “Bar” which on Royal class ships is really not “The Wheelhouse Bar” anymore.  We would look at Discovery Princess which doesn’t have these Chinese specific features, not because we don’t like the Chinese, but because these changes don’t interest us at all.

Interesting to read some of the comments about masks. Attitudes like that are what is going to prolong this situation for longer and longer. By the time we’re at a point where masks aren’t needed, there won’t be any cruise lines left to sail with.

They actually did some changes for the Aussie market on Majestic Princess  including  plonking a Crooners in the VIP Gaming Lounge (usually Club 6/Take 5 on her sister ships) See this ship tour from Feb 2020 - 6:35 onwards

There is a Crooners though - where the VIP Gaming Lounge originally for the Asian market. This is the Club 6/Take 5 location. It's a strange layout but at least it's another place for drinks.

Is July 7 the earliest the elites can book???

Discovery is available to book already but the others not until July 7th. TAs can put group holds on a little earlier so if you have a TA let them know your interest...

The Crooner’s location on the Majestic could have one benefit.  When Crooner’s is placed in the Atrium as on most ships, the singer/piano player has to stop when other entertainment is going on down on the Plaza of the Atrium.  On the Majestic, it looks like a room to itself.  Was a little disappointed in the video above of Majestic, as the La Mer, on the Atrium in the Crooner’s spot, didn’t look very romantic.  Maybe they put tablecloths etc on during dinner.

I usually put a courtesy hold on them myself, since my TA’s are online agents, but they give a pretty good discount off the fare. And we don’t care about OBC.  It works for us since we book full suites. 10-12% off the fare is a nice savings.  I usually get the suite I want on the 1st day.  Thats why I asked about the 1st day Elites could book.
Thanks for any info you might have  🤗

Don't know about the cash laden part, but after a year of mostly holing up at home, I will be ready for a vaccine and a few cruises in Spring 2021.
