RobertGraves Posted July 4, 2020 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2020 These days of uncertainty, I thought it nice to remind our board that Cunard celebrates its 180th anniversary. A historic company. Allmost no other current cruise company can claim such a record. I found this video on YouTube. Some points may be exaggerated, but generally it summarizes nicely some of Cunard's unique aspects. I hope posting it here is not against the regulations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PS2fIrshpBA (180 Years of Cunard - Five Times Cunard CHANGED THE WORLD - Cunard 180th Anniversary, 4 July 2020) Robert

This conveys a message of hope in this case, too.
BklynBoy8 Posted July 4, 2020 #4 Share Posted July 4, 2020 Happy 180th Anniversary to Cunard Line. We remember Celebrating the 150th on the QE2 and what a celebration on board transiting the Panama Canal to the East Coast. The great on deck parties and celebration balls in the Queens Room.. sfred Posted July 4, 2020 #5 Share Posted July 4, 2020 Happy 180th from us also! The wife and I were on the 175th anniversary on QM2, Hamburg-Southampton-Liverpool-Halifax-Boston-NY. It was a wonderful crossing, ranking at the top of all our Cunard voyages. The cathedral concert in Liverpool, and celebrations and fireworks in Halifax and Boston, remain very fond memories. It brought me to tears, again. When one considers the situation Britain faced in 1939, the Queen's words should be taken strongly to heart.
