Hard to tell how long it will take now, but for our cruises in March & April (which ultimately were cancelled) I faxed the request from my bank and the OBC was in my Princess account shortly after I got back home. I had a B2B booked and the OBC was listed on each cruise.

It generally had been pretty quick. However, sometimes if does not show up. Our TA told me they sometimes (he may have said often ) lose the faxes. When they say they never received it, you have to try again.

This is so archaic to have to fax the form.

Why don't they catch up with technology and let us email the form in?

If I'm not mistaken, they are afraid of viruses attached to e-mails.

When you do fax it in, it does not go to an actual fax machine. It goes into a computer and they look at it on the computer screen, not on a printed pieces of paper.

If it does not get posted in a working day or two, chances are a communication glitch or computer glitch prevented the FAX from reaching them, so send it again.

That is the reason.

Must be different in the US. In the UK you just send an email giving details of your cruise and attach a pdf file to prove share ownership. Apart from the NHS, no one uses fax machines anymore.

Princess does not use fax machines in the USA either.

The faxes are delivered to a computer, not printed out.

In the past I sent mine by snail mail and it posted in about 3 to 6 days.

Me too, until this last time. Sent in a month ago and still not posted. Called and after 2 hours with several different people and disconnected twice, still no answer except to wait. Less than happy right now.

I’ve seen a post that you can email your information. If I hear anymore I’ll post what I find.

Tom😀

You can use an online service like fax zero

https://faxzero.com/

You can use an email service for 10 pages free like this

https://www.fax.plus/pricing/

Or if you have a VOIP system it may be included for free

I would suggest sending it again using fax zero since it’s free. Keep us posted as to what happens.

Tom😀

I would second that. I know our TA has told me that they fairly often lose the requests. It has happened to us, though we have always received it eventually.

I applied by snail mail over a month ago.  Still have not heard .  I think I should try faxing.

I did the same as I don't have a fax at home.. Nothing after 5 weeks. I found a fax and sent it in this past Monday, posted on my account Tuesday!  I'm guessing they aren't manning their snail mail.  All good now...

Internet email is inherently not secure.  As the email deals with financial matters and also has an effect on CCL's bottom line it may be a Sarbanes-Oxley violation to transmit that information via an insecure means such as internet email.
